I agree, I think his visuals suit modern dramas more. But he was pretty good in Youthful Glory. The only thing is that, i notice usually only historical dramas take your career to the next level. Modern dramas dont have as big of an impact compared to historical

No, he had an ongoing lawsuit with his previous agency. And usually when you are going through a contract dispute, you will not be filming. Which caused him to take a 2-3 year hiatus due to the lawsuit.

Yes I agree, he left for 2 years so i was very surprised he had FOUR dramas back to back this year!! Thats why I said it was impressive that he doesnt even have an agency to help him and doing it by himself. I also realize his weibo engagament isnt as great as other actors, I wonder why

I’m glad Song Weilong got this drama. I hope it takes his career to the next level, because I feel like he’s so underrated in the industry. Also he’s an introvert so I dont think that helps much either. When I saw videos of the new years eve gala event, all the guy actors were hanging out together, and he was just standing alone all the time.
