I agree.did they even read the story.i mean you could have toned down the toxicity and the no of intimate scenes .but to go so far as to reduce the very essence of the characters.the intensity was missing. Gu hai anger his curiosity and his disappointment with his dad and him letting go when his dad choked him theres just something missing there. Coming to my bai hhhhhh this bai doesnt seem like the yinzi we all know.this version looks like a mere shadow. Bai used to be a diamond among rocks.he had an aura of this extraordinary among the ordinary with his intelligence his attitude and character.but here what character???all we see so far was a poor guy with some slightly above average intelligence . Are you telling me this is enough to attract someone of gu hai caliber.???
Some of my friends said i shouldn't come to the conclusion just on the 1st episode.even bad buddy s 1st episode was lack luster. Ao i thought maybe i should just give it one more chance.but trust me i couldnt digest these unnecessary half nakedness and god the butchered scenes like when gu hai says you are my medicine and drunken bonding between gu hai and yinzi.like seriously these were important turning points in their relationship. I dont get it why do thai dramas dont show depth of the characters and story instead has unnecessary nc scenes like the tharn type ,love in air ,long beans etc there's barely any story full nc scenes. I mean they cant all be stupid right.with so much potential that country has why do so less

Is it just me why does it feel like the intense scenes doesn't have that much intensity at all.gu hai father was over acting .there is no spark between the leads .this version's bai is way to touchy feely with gu hai.this just ........why would you take such a challenging project and give this sh#$t.it should be a criminal offense.

While me and my friends were talking about this show one of my friends mentioned how nice it would have been if ohm and nanon were cast as gu hai and bai louyin .just imagine someone with that caliber of acting and with p off as director ohhhhh that would have been heaven
Addicted was my intro into the bl world.after watching the series, i read on the comment, that it was based on a novel .it was 8 or 9 years back. You don't know how long i searched for that eng translation. Nearly a whole damn week and finally found someone translating it. I was going through a rough patch of my life, because of our families financial condition What stood out for me was bai louyin's character. There was one scene where the principal asked to call his father for the broken door of his classroom. He very nonchalantly said he was very poor that even if they leave their house open no thief would steal anything from them or something in that sense. He was obviously very poor that he didnt even have money to buy a pair of underwear but the way he carried himself He was very mischievous ,smart as hell and had great confidence in himself. He accepted that his situation was like that and wasnt ashamed of it and believed he could make something of himself without his mothers or his stepdad( gu hai dad) help. That somehow helped me and made me realize .that the situation is like this now and i could change it with my own efforts I think thats what attracted guhai to bai louyin. his confidence, his wit and his attitude BUT BUT HERE IN THIS SERIES WHAT THE BLOODY HELL HAVE THEY DONE WITH MY BAI LOUYIN HOW DID HE BECOME SOME LOUSY POOR DOORMAT. WWWWWAAAAATTTT HAVE THEY DONE .the very essance of the characters. The very essance of gu hai's admiration for bai lauoyin where is it. Are you telling me gu hai felt sorry for bai and somehow they fell in love along the way. .like f##$%%^k you production . You know i wished and prayed that thailand pick up addicted for so many years.and this THIS is what you are telling me you are going to give me.how could you HOW COULD YOUUUUUUU.
Pop character just ruined this series for me.bai used to be such a charismatic character he was a hell if smart witty and downright eye for an eye kind if guy.the initial tit for tat between gu hai and yinzi used to be such a treat to watch.here pop kind of comes of as poor itty bitty doormat . Why o why do they have to take up this project when they cant do proper justice for it. Im not asking for explicit nc secenes .even without a kiss it would have been done properly with story telling if they had included between pop and hero to just ignite some spark. Hero comes off as an bullying asshole. It seems thats how this seasons going to be. Any chance they could change the cast director for season 2. Afterall this story never had season 2.with proper cast and good director it has huge potential .is there any chance
