I would have the same response as Miyu too if he cant draw a line with his ex under the excuse of doing it for professional reasons,am sure he knows that girl is interested in getting back to him and he allows her to get that hope by staying silent for many of her remarks in every conversation of her with him He clearly likes Miyu and also gives the vibes of an indecisive man in many situations
