There are some other crime dramas not from OCN (they aren't as intense but still good) Crime Squad, The Devil, Missing You, A Man Called God, Cain& Abel, Cruel City, Gap Dong, Gods Gift, Ghost, Scandal: A Shocking and Wrongful Incident, Sirius, The Bridal Mask, The Chaser, Time Between Dog & Wolf, Two Weeks, & White Christmas - these are action/detective type dramas - so they aren't quite a detailed as OCN dramas but still really good to watch.
I'm really enjoying this drama too - I've come to love OCN after watching Bad Guys last year & this drama is right up my alley - I too love crime/mystery/detective type dramas (as long as they aren't as gruesome as God's Quiz) lol - Kim Kang Woo, Park Hee Soon & Jo Bo Ah are doing a fantastic job!
he didn't die, he got shot right left lower side of his body - he passed out from shock/pain and blood loss - he never died. He recovered from the gunshot and that's why we see him again at the end. - good ending.

I'm enjoying the drama, during the first few episodes I thought it was really weird. (I liked the past story) by episode 6 I was hooked as we were getting deeper into the villain side of the story - It's my first time seeing Shin Se Kyung and unfortunately I don't share your like of her - I honestly think she is a bad actress but I can tolerate her, although I hate her hairstyle so much. I started the drama for Yoochun (I watch all of his dramas) his acting is great as always, although I miss his character/personality when his sister was alive... hopefully we will begin to see that side soon. I LOVE detective/crime dramas - and I think that side of this story is really good - I can't wait to watch episode 11 & 12 when they come out! I already know that I won't re-watch this drama though lol - I think I will always think of this drama when I see barcodes now ...
I've been wanting to see So Ji Sub & Shin Min Ah together in a drama for a few years now (ever since I saw some cute "hug me" photos of them together) ^-^ after them I want to see Rain & his soon to be bride Kim Tae Hee in a drama together - I love it when actual couples star in dramas together ;) I too would love to see Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young in a drama together (besides their first meeting drama) I want to see them as leads together as a couple ^^ Song Jae Rim & Kim So Eun - I haven't watched WGM (and I won't) but they do look adorable together so I would love to see them in a drama together. I also agree with this coupling: Park Shin Hye & Miura Haruma (as long as they don't "dub" their voices). [I had previously wanted Lee Min Ho & Park Shin Hye in a drama together - but I already got my wish lol] -
this drama seems like a mix of 3-4 other dramas I have seen (judging from the first episode and the 2nd episode preview) Reminds me a little of Come Jang Bo Ri (b/c of the grandma & that one ladys past story with her) (I can't stand the grandma btw). a little of You're the Only One daily drama (b/c of the guy wanting to cook more than what his family wants him to do)....and others that I can't think of at the moment...
