I DOUBT seriously you're getting 40-50 minutes of present. 10-20 MAX. And I'm assuming a normal-ish sized episode.
Well that’s expected… they are not going to spend 30 minutes on the resolution, it most likely be 10 mins as that’s how it ususally is.

Are you for real 😭 13 episodes in, the teasers have always been misleading. Do you actually think they will only spend a minimum of 10 mins on the present?

Title My Royal Nemesis Spoiler
The last scene in the preview has got to be when Seori returns to Segye, I've watched too many kdramas for that not to be the case.... which could either happen around or shortly after the half way mark or by the ending. If it does happen halfway, then together they take Mundo down. If it happens at the end, which I likely assume, then Mundo will most likely be taken down already and then they reunite and we get a good few scenes of them together with their happy ending. I assume the episode will be 80 mins (I hope), but I do think it can wrap everything up even with a few minutes less. They basically just have one final string to pull for Mundo and I doubt we will spend more than 30 total minutes on the past. So 30 minutes on the past, 40-50 minutes on the present including the resolution.

Now I pray this does not age like milk....

mundo is a villain.... it's his job to constantly come at segye. segye can't just stop him right away the first time. mundo has never properly succeeded until this week, and even still segye got some advantage on him. segye hasn't just ignored him, i have a feeling he's been piling things up. i think he could do more maybe but i don't think he has been just doing nothing against mundo. and him "giving up" this week is just part of the low point so it can look like mundo will win, it's common in screenplays.

just cuz he doesn't initiate a counter attack doesn't mean he lets it go, he has confronted mundo on different things. if he was to counter attack every time mundo would just be defeated easily and what would be the point after such...

I understand the frustration but segye can't just fight back and win from the get-go. the drama set it up as segye is put in these predicaments by mundo and always gets out - it's like a fun game to him, but now seori is involved and we are at the climax it will get serious and he will fight back, as the preview shows. I also don't think he has been just taking, as example him teaming up with taehee

Been debating all day if I should comment but I keep coming back here so I'm just gonna spit it out:

First, I want to start off by saying that I still love it! Really liked this weeks episode. Yes, maybe today's was weaker than average, but I did not have a problem with it. I loved the ending and as a screenwriter myself I believe it's doing well with it's plot and placing and I do have confidence in the ending (although from experience, that obviously can be unpredictable).

Second, and to the point, I think people are expecting way too much and just want a safe plot that explains everything. I don't know, and everyone has their own preferences so I don't think there is anything wrong with thinking it's "falling off," but I don't understand the general mindset behind it, as if the whole show just 180'd, but I don't believe it did. Mundo has been scheming since the first episode, it is just more dramatic and intensified now as we reach the conclusion. So, of course, a lot of crap is going to be happening! He can't just be defeated by them snapping their fingers. If a villain is going to lose, there HAS to be a moment where it looks like they are going to win. The main characters have to go through a low point (false defeat) at the climax (unless it's a sad ending, then it's a false victory). That's just screenwriting 101. So seeing people complain how Mundo is wining is kinda funny to me because who said he has? I have noticed moments of planting (details), which in screenwriting sometimes gets paid off quickly, and other times later down the line. In TV, specifically limited dramas a such, it is more common near the end. Things cannot be resolved properly before the conclusion or else that would just be the conclusion. Seori can't just know the facts behind herself halfway through the drama, and there HAS to be stakes with such in the final two episodes or else what is the damn point!

Third, I would like more past stuff, but this isn't a historical kdrama. It showed us the Joseon era so we could get to know Danshim as a character as she navigates her new life, and by the time she is secured as Shin Seori, we know enough about her (and her past with Segye's past life). I feel like if it spent a lot of time on the past it would have to rush the present situation and then people would be have issues still so it feels like this drama cannot win. This is also a drama... as in genre drama, and as we have entered the climax, the drama aspect has taken the wheels.

As I mentioned with people's expectations, I think people's prediction and assumptions of what should happen might affect how they feel about an episode or part of the drama. I'm saying this because that used to happen to me. Not saying that doesn't mean a drama doesn't fall off or become bad whatsoever, but that we assume something or want something to happen and when it doesn't we become disappointed. I don't think there is anything wrong with being upset or frustrated at where the drama has been going, I just, again, don't understand and think it's a bit much for just two episodes and when there are still over two hours left of the story, which can change so much. I also think that calling this terrible writing or other stuff like that is harsh for simply disliking it. The drama hasn't ended, it hasn't gone off the rails. Now if you think it's gone off the rails, fine, your opinion, but that doesn't immediately equal poor writing. Do you like every top rated drama or movie in general? I don't!

I think if this drama had 2 more episodes (this shorter episode plague needs to die) it would be better, but I think it is possible to wrap everything up next week. And I do believe this will not be a ktrauma, but anything can truly happen.

Which is why I stopped watching because I saw that writing on the wall. I'll wait 'till it's finished to see if…
I agree. I want a happy ending and I do sense that it is possible since we have next week too. You can't really do a soul swapping drama without going back to the past at least briefly - that would make the drama unresolved. There needs to be at least some explanation and we got parts of that in todays episode.

well damn, what point then? If it being dramatic right now is not the issue than what is omg 😭 how do you want them to go on about this then cuz I don't see how this wraps up properly without the dramatic tension they are giving

If what you mean by "piling on with drama/problems" the Mundo stuff, or soul swapping stuff from this episode, then I don't see the problem as we have been getting that since the first few episodes. It is just intensified because we are nearing the conclusion of the story. We are at the lowest point for the story, so it's not going to be as constant. If it was strictly, purely, only romcom then I would understand "tonal shifts," but again, it has drama as a genre! Pure romcom dramas sometimes don't hit for me fully cuz they tend to sideline the drama they introduced for that easy happy ending (where everything ends easily with little to no stakes), and it frustrates me and maybe this frustrates you because the opposite is happening, which is okay. But that doesn't mean this drama is betraying itself or has a full tonal shift just because it doesn't fit that standard.

I see where you come from but I don't think it's breaking the rules, even if it's taking a melodramatic turn. I kinda expected that with the whole "soul swapping anyways," as how do you fully make that purely a romcom. There has to be something in their way and so stakes are going to get a bit higher near the end. It happens in every romcom I can think of. Maybe it's just too dramatic for you, but I don't see how that makes it unacceptable, especially since drama is one of the main genre's so that probably shifts it away from strictly just a romcom.

Title A Hundred Memories Spoiler
I'm very surprised with the negative reviews to this.... People are acting as if Han Jaepil's relationship between…
Also, Jaepil is not an object. I understand the sentiment of "it's not right to get with your friends crush," but I think the drama does a great job at portraying the conflictions and the emotional impact and choices that come with that.

Youngrye likes Jaepil first yet he likes Jonghee first and Youngrye and Jonghee both decide to put their friendship first. Jonghee leaves for 7 years, yes against her will but she unfortunately still does, and during those years Jaepil and Youngrye grow close, not just with each other but with their families. I thought it was harsh for Jonghee to ask Youngrye's help to get her with Jaepil, and I also thought Youngrye should have told Jonghee she liked Jaepil from the get-go. These are flaws they have and that's what makes them amazing characters.

I think people are too attached with what they deem is right or wrong, or just think everything has to be perfect, I don't know. Maybe because I can sort of relate in terms of crushing on a friends crush, so I don't have much issue with it and I love how realistic this portrayal is. But in the end, you cannot help who you fall in love with. That is life!

I'm very surprised with the negative reviews to this.... People are acting as if Han Jaepil's relationship between Youngrye and Jonghee came out of left field, when at the end of the first episode Jaepil says "this is how our story starts." I think it is valid to say that the girls friendship should have been more of a focus and/or that that their relationship is the main part of the drama, because I do agree with that. However, a big part of the drama, as said in the literal synopsis, is about how both of them share their first love with the same guy.

I'm enjoying this and, although there are small things here and there, I don't think it is anywhere near as bad as people are saying.

I wonder how exactly ml is gonna tame down his second in command dude ( like the later even has the order to kill…
i think he will either refuse to switch sides and then die because of that or he will slowly come to the realization that sooho had and then change... i was also thinking maybe bunok might be a factor because he seemed to soften his hard shell around her but nothing is certain, he is really unpredictable.

It depends where
I think it's a glitch, because it has happened to me for multiple dramas and I am still not able to edit them even a year later. Unfortunately, I don't think there is anything you can do, sadly.
