guys I don t understand who died the older brother do young? who is the man is do ha? seem so confuse when I saw…
Are you really watching? Or just picking up random parts… Because it’s already been made very clear that since their parents’ divorce, Doha has been living in the U.S. and visits Korea for 21 days during the summer. In today’s episode, they finally introduced DoYoung, the twin who lives in Korea, in the house next to Hakyung’s. We still don’t know what happened to DoYoung. And it’s still unclear why she harbors so much anger toward Doha, since it was also revealed today that she fell in love with him when they were young.
KBS has released another summary for next week, and finally, we’ll learn more about the other twin — in this case, Do Young.
A part of the summary reads: “Episodes 3 and 4 promise to finally reveal who Baek Do-yeong really is and what happened that summer that changed everyone’s fate. In addition, new secrets about Do-ha’s past will be exposed, and the narrative will begin to show what each person has lost — and what can still be recovered.”
A theory that came to mind is that Do Young might have been responsible for the breakup between the two. We still don’t know much about Do Young’s personality, nor how he reacted upon realizing that, in their youth, his brother was falling in love with his friend and neighbor... Perhaps both Hakyung and Doha are victims of Do Young’s actions.
I think we are now exagerating this now, after alchemy of souls, Jaewook starred in deaths game:which was a good…
Wow! How did I forget Death’s Game? What a slip-up on my part. I agree with you. Maybe there hasn’t been another drama with the same level of engagement that Alchemy created, but labeling all of his choices as bad is quite harsh.
The premise of the story is that it’s a romance of healing and reconciliation. So, I believe that even amid the pain, there will be a rebuilding of the relationship between the two protagonists and a satisfying ending. But we’ll have to see the so-called “Pandora’s box,” and as we know, the myth says it contained “all the sorrows of the world.” So, there will be pain — but also hope and healing.
What happened to Lee Jae Wook? After all the popularity he got from Alchemy of Souls, I really thought he’d…
After Alchemy of Souls, we only had The Impossible Heir and Dear Hongrang. The first one can be criticized, but the second was very well received and has good reviews. Now we have Last Summer, which only has two episodes so far. Calling everything a failure seems excessive and sounds more like hate than an impartial evaluation.
Technically speaking she spent more time with him than Do Ha and at this point we don't know what kind of relationship…
KBS created an Instagram page called Last Summer KBS. I followed the page, and there are short synopses introducing the story and the characters. In one of them, it says that the twins are close, but we don’t know the depth of their relationship. It also says that Ha Kyung falls in love with Doha, the teasing twin who visits her every summer. Do Young is the calmer one, for whom she feels only genuine friendship. Do Young will see the two of them kissing… It’s not clear from the synopses whether Do Young likes Ha Kyung or if he’s just bothered by the possibility that their relationship could ruin their friendship. Anyway, apparently, Do Young will do something to prevent Doha and Ha Kyung’s romance. I’m really curious to see how all these elements will fit together, and something tells me there’s also a big misunderstanding behind it all. Maybe Ha Kyung blames Doha entirely for something that Do Young is also guilty of (just my theory). I’m so curious!!
Loved the first two. Set up several mysteries, an interesting structure, and a deep connection between our leads.…
Wow! I think the same as you. There’s a subtle suspense in the background, but instead of enjoying the mysterious plot that’s being built, people choose to get annoyed. The story isn’t about enemies who fall in love — it’s a healing romance, where two friends who have always loved each other must face the past and the trauma that separated them, so that they can finally love each other again. It’s not a sweet little love story; it’s about a love that was hurt and wounded, one that needs forgiveness and healing.
in the description there is a mention of baek do yeong who is doha’s twin brother but in the first episode i…
From what I’ve noticed, the first episode begins narrated by HaKyung and introduces her character. The second episode starts narrated by Doha, and we’re introduced to his character. I believe episode three will bring Do Young (the other twin) into the picture, and we’ll learn what the relationship between the three of them was like. One of the official synopses mentions that when Do Young discovers the feelings between Doha and HaKyung, he does something to separate them… This might be connected to the tragedy that unfolds years later. I’m loving this subtle suspense in the background. What about you — are you enjoying it?
Why does it seem he cares more about her being angry with him than his brother being dead... Also why does it…
All the official synopses and texts I’ve read say it’s a healing romance, where the characters will have to face what happened on a fateful day in order to love each other again. We still don’t know what exactly happened or how this tragedy unfolded two years ago. However, it seems that the deepest trauma belongs to Hakyung… Everything is still in the realm of speculation. We’ll have to wait for the next chapters to see how this puzzle comes together.
But I believe you’re mistaken. They’re not enemies who fall in love. They’re friends who fell in love and went through a breakup. It’s a drama about reconciliation and healing. From the very beginning, it’s clear that they’re deeply in love with each other, but that love had to be broken for some reason. And it seems this affected the female lead much more in terms of trauma, since she developed several issues because of it, such as insomnia and panic attacks...
his twin brother still hasn’t appeared. We get to see more of Doha’s personality. He’s self-assured, determined, and confident. Apparently, he doesn’t accept losing to anyone… except Ha Kyung. He admits that he always let her win, and in this scene, the emotional depth behind that becomes evident. This time, we also learn more about how the past trauma left lasting effects on Song Ha Kyung. She suffers from insomnia, goes to therapy, wants to forget the past, and wishes to leave that place. Whatever happened left different scars on each of them. But then comes the big question: what terrible thing happened that made her start hating every summer, despising all memories — even the good ones — and not wanting to see Baek Doha? Apparently, she’s the only one who holds such deep resentment toward Doha. His father seems to treat him well, and so do his friends… So it’s something that involves her and the twins. But what was it? Because of that, and not knowing the “sin” or “crime,” as she herself calls it, that Doha committed, I feel confused and sad to see her treat so poorly a friend who loves her deeply and seems willing to do everything for her... The first two episodes served as an introduction, and it seems we’ll still get more, since we haven’t met Do Young yet. Anyway, I’m enjoying it. There are elements that really draw us into the story.
Do-ha has been given much more importance in the drama, so what was the need to include his twin brother’s character?
We’re still in the early episodes, which are usually introductory. The first one was narrated by Hakyung, so we see things from her perspective — her feelings. I believe the next episode will focus on the twins. The trauma that separates them is probably related to some tragic event involving Do Young. That part will explain Hakyung’s behavior.
loved first episode but is it really about twins? I don't think they mentioned other brother even once
I believe this first episode was meant to introduce Ha Kyung. Notice how the narrative is centered around her — how she sees things and the relationship between the two. I think the next episode will introduce the twins, perhaps from Do Ha’s point of view.
I’m enchanted by the first episode. They nailed the pacing and the introduction of the female character, Song Hakyung. She’s fierce and charming at the same time. She’s strong, but knows how to be sensitive at the right moment. Actress Choi Sung Eun is wonderful. I’m in love with Hakyung. Doha is still a mystery. His character hasn’t been fully explored yet. But I can already feel the charm and persuasive power there. He’s going to be breathtaking. I loved everything about this first episode. And of course, you’re going to fall in love with the puppy. His name is Watermelon.
Well ... The ick factor was there. It would have been better had she stayed steadfast in her initial beliefs.…
The disappearance of a person can be more painful and complex than death, due to the uncertainty about the fate of the missing person and the lack of a definitive end to the relationship. The pain of disappearance is often aggravated by the lack of information and uncertainty about what happened.
It is difficult for the family to move on in these cases. It is not a question of obsession, but of intense, ongoing suffering.
How can step brother and sister be lovers? Are you people serious? Why none is criticizing this dirty plot?
They are not brothers. There is nothing dirty. There is just an impostor who pretends to be a brother. But, this is revealed at the beginning of the series.
We still don’t know what happened to DoYoung. And it’s still unclear why she harbors so much anger toward Doha, since it was also revealed today that she fell in love with him when they were young.
