Well, it is what it is, maybe they will realize that Misty deserves more and change their mind. After all we can't make people change their ratings, and it's not a big deal anyway. Guess we'll just have another underrated masterpiece. At least there is a small group of us who knows the true value of this show.

Misty is a prime example of why the ratings here are very distorted, and for many dramas practically insignificant. Just because of the ending, many people instantly forget the perfection that this drama was all along. The quality of the drama is based on the quality of the script, the cinematography, the music, the atmosphere, the actors and how they played their roles, and many more things, some more significant than others. So even though the plot is one of the more important things, everything else should not be forgotten. However, from what I have noticed here, it often is, since people generalize the quality of the whole drama just because a small part of it didn't fit their ideal. Therefore, ratings can often be misleading, and, at least for me, they are definitely not a measure of how good a drama is. Instead, they are just some sort of...guidelines.

True, there are different ways it could have happened. But then again, shows are made to be watched, and if nobody in the drama ended up satisfied, maybe we should feel that feeling of dissatisfaction as well. The ending did a great job transferring those emotions in the end, since the whole drama before that was very cold. We basically felt what Go Hye Ran and Kang Tae Wook felt. And as for how KTW murdered Kevin Lee, I see it as a simple mistake, out of anger that he kept inside of him 7 years while being married to Hye Ran. One, in a row of mistakes that each of the characters in this drama made in their lives. One of the many mistakes which defined them.

If any of the characters actually found happiness, that would have been a major change in the way the drama was progressing. Tae Wook can't have a happy ending because of the murder obviously, and Go Hye Ran has never really strived for happiness, but only for success. It was only in the final moments of the drama when she realized that she had made a mistake by doing that. And the fact that we see her saying "you should've killed me instead" finally shows us some true emotion from GHR, and that is good, because even Go Hye Ran can't possibly be Go Hye Ran until the end, nobody is emotionless. Hye Ran realized in the final episodes that she can't live without Tae Wook, so she was genuinely afraid of how she would go on if Tae Wook ends up in jail. And if we are to talk about the happiness of other characters...well they were never really what this drama was about.

Hye Ran dedicated her life to make everything work for her, except her happiness. True, she never lost, but I think that in the end she realized that all those wins mean nothing when she doesn't have that one thing that she truly needs, which is happiness. The show never went in a direction which would provide for a happy, or even a decent ending for GHR. If Go Hye Ran lived her whole life cold, and emotionless in order to succeed at her job, I think that that final minute of the show captured all the emotion she had surpressed so far. It wasn't satisfying, it wasn't what we wanted, but it was, well...appropriate

Why would you expect it to end in a bang when the drama was calm all along? The drama set it's atmosphere in the start and kept it to the end. And the ending finally gives the answer that GHR and KTW were trying to find all along, "Is either of us happy?". They made the last episode longer but didn't say what happened to the CEO of Kang Wool, or Eun Joo, because this drama was never really about them. It was Hye Ran and Tae Wook all along, they are the only ones that mattered here, and the end is quite fitting for them.

I think most of you had a certain vision of how this drama would, or should end, and it didn't quite fit that picture. The ending was appropriate, very suitable for the style of the drama. If Tae Wook gets away, it's unfair, but if he goes to prison, then it's just too predictable. The main aspect of the drama was never the murder, but the relationship between GHR and KTW, and the fact that neither of them was truly happy during their marriage. The drama had a very calm atmosphere the whole time, I think a very dramatic ending would have disrupted the flow. The last words of the show capture in whole everything that this show tried to prove. Therefore, even though it is an ending which most of us didn't expect, or didn't hope for, it is an ending which suits Misty. And it most definately should not impact that this show was perfection all along.

"Stranger" is an excellent crime/investigation drama, you could say that it is a similar theme, it revolves around one case, but it is very well made. Definitely a pleasure to watch. You can check out "Black" also if you want more crime dramas, although the crime case there is a bit more complex, and the show has supernatural elements, so I can't say its solely based on the investigation part, although it is the main aspect. An excellent drama nevertheless.

The ending left me with so many questions....idk whether I only have this or if u all have it...1)Did Tae suk…
1) Yes, Tae suk got arrested because the prosecutor in charge started treating him as a regular suspect, as he should, since Choi Ja Hye released the video of Tae Suk killing the car dealer and they couldn't protect him anymore, even though he has connections.
2) In Ho most probably got divorced since he told his wife he will give up custody of his children.
3) Kim Jung Soo will serve his prison sentence of 5 years I think, after that he gets out. He himself believes he should be punished for his crimes. Tae Min Young's sentence is probably shorter, we didn't get a clear explanation of that.
4) Choi Ja Hye died because she could not live with herself, not because she couldn't face the public. She lost her daughter because she was irresponsible as a mother, and to top it off, on the night her daughter died, she went to a karaoke bar. One small, meaningless decision changed her whole life, and she couldn't get over that.
5) Yes, she completed her revenge, maybe not the way she planned it though. Hak Bum died, Tae Suk is in prison, In Ho and Joon Hee are ruined. Her main revenge was against those 4. The detective in charge of her daughters case died earlier, as well as Yeom Mi Jung. The plan was to kill herself in the end all along, she had no reason to live ever since she lost her daughter, but stayed alive just so that she could get revenge.
Hope this clears it up.
