My advice is do not watch it straight after watching the first season. That was my mistake I think. I finished watching LBC about two months ago, loved it, and tried to watch ACTL immediately after. I dropped it after the first episode. I just couldn't do it. I understand Saint decided not to be in this season, but did they have to break up Pete and Ae? I don't think so. I feel like there were other ways to not have Saint in the season, but keep AePete characters together. For example, they could've just put AePete in a long distance relationship. They could have shown Ae getting on a plane to go see him once in a while or something. That way, Saint doesn't need to appear on the series but the viewers don't have to suffer as much.
And TinCan? I just couldn't. The biggest thing for me was the restarting of the storyline. I rather liked their storyline in LBC. I really wanted them to carry on from the shower scene. That was what I was excited for when I finished LBC. I was like, "Oh how are they going to come back from this?" Well, they didn't.
It was also confusing because ACTL doesn't fit well with LBC anymore. There are so many scenes with Tin, Can, Pete and Ae interacting in LBC, so now, it's like any interaction between Tin and the rest of them didn't happen.
I think I'll wait another month or two to watch this, then pretend LBC is in a completely different universe or didn't happen. That way, I might be able to enjoy the revamped TinCan storyline.
Edit: It's been three months and I still can't watch it.
I give this show a 9/10. This is really one of the bls you have to watch yourself to see if you like it. Some reviews say it's boring and overrated, while others say it's "the best." I started my bl journey early this year, but because of the reviews, I didn't want to watch it for ages. But then (because I was bored and wanted to form my own opinion) I decided to watch it yesterday. I'm only on Ep 5, so I'll update my comment after. So far, It has a really laid-back plot. Nothing exciting or life-changing like Not Me, but for 2016, I really like it.
The acting isn't like one-of-a-kind or anything, but I think it's pretty good. Some of the scenes where the seniors are supposed to be seething are kinda laughable. The scenes when they're screaming at the juniors are a bit cringy too. I've mostly just laughed through out the whole thing. Off trying to keep a serious face in the beginning had me cackling as well, I don't know why. His Sean character in NM is really believable, but in this? I just couldn't.
Ep 7 Update: I heard other people saying the more they watch, the more boring it gets. I feel the opposite. The more episodes I watch, the more I like it. Ep 7 is just great in my opinion
Update: Ok, I can see why people consider this to be one of the best bls. It's what we call a 'slow-burn' type of bl. The relationship between the MCs develops slowly. I do love the focus on friendship and the character development of both the juniors and the seniors. There's also a lot of little details that make it so much more enjoyable. The only con I've found is there are a few clichés that ppl don't always like. I know some ppl hate the fact that there's no skinships but I didn't mind it. I think it would have felt out of place if they had put it in, because the actors don't seem like they would...idk, do well acting a love scene together? The kisses were a bit awkward in my opinion.
All in all, I think the best thing to do is just watch it and form your own opinion. If you don't like it you can just drop it.
I really wanted to watch this, but apparently, subtitles aren't provided for non-members. I'd like to become a member, but I can't buy an online subscription. I'll probably wait a year or so until I can watch free subbed versions elsewhere.
If you're thinking about COMMENTING on this page, STOP and listen. If you came here to shame her. Then that's fine.…
Finally, somebody said it! I get really sick of watching ppl hate on her shows even though they'll still watch her stuff. Love in the Air hasn't even aired yet and people are already hating on it so hard. Saying stuff like "Mame produced it, it's gonna be trash" or "Looks so boring!" Ok then, don't watch it! Nobody cares whether you do or don't. Like sometimes, all I want is an honest review, but all you get are hate reviews.
I honestly don't understand why everyone hates on Mame's stories. Could the plot be better? Most definitely. But that can be said for almost every bl I've watched besides UWMA and BB. I find Mame's work very typical of a bl. Cliché sometimes, cringy, unrealistic, sometimes toxic. But that's the whole genre of bls. There are only a few recent bls that I've watched that shy away from the typical bl plot. TOTS, UWMA, and Not Me are a few. Even though these bls are great, I personally don't think that's any reason to hate the more typical ones.
When a trailer for a series that Mame produced come out, ppl start hating on it before they've even watched it. If you really hate Mame's stuff, that's fine. We all know the type of stuff she does by now. Either you hate her stuff, or you don't. But if you hate it, then just don't watch it. What's the point in watching a series you know you'll dislike, just to put a low rating on afterwards? That's not really fair to the actors in my opinion. I think it's fine not liking the things she puts in, or just giving your honest opinion, but the plain hate sometimes gets me.
Another thing is, it's just a show. It's fictional. Most of them aren't made to be realistic. Bls in general aren't realistic most of the time.
Now, onto the show. I enjoyed TTTS, and I enjoyed Don't Say No. I really hated Fiat in TharnType, and I didn't see how the two storylines fit together, but I liked Don't Say No. There's the miscommunication, and overall toxic stuff that that you see in a lot of Mame's work, and that brought my rating down, but I don't hate it.
As long as you're not predisposed to hate Mame's stuff, I recommend it with an 7.9/10
Ok, I absolutely loved this show! SCOY is in my top ten fav bls.
I was considering dropping it on the first episode because it was SO cring-y. But honestly[With a few exceptions], I've never been hooked on a bl by the first episode, so I kept on watching it because I wanted to see how it ended, and I'm glad I did!
Once you get past the first 3-to 4 episodes, it's actually really funny and cute. I did end up liking the MCs by the end, but I loved the side characters waaaaaay more. The side characters are what kept me watching it. Not to mention the acting is great.
Toh's stalker-ish habits almost made me drop the show in the beginning, but then I realised that the whole point of it is that Toh's a stalker, and it's just a show. Besides, the more you watch it, the more you realise that Nuea is just as weird as him. They're a match made in heaven.
As long as you don't mind major second-hand embarrassment and over-the-top cringyness, I 100% recommend it. I really enjoyed it, so I give this show a 10/10.

Love that instead of the shy, docile Fluke from UWMA, we get a loose-tongued sassy one.
My first thought seeing the trailer was, "Love it!"
My second thought was (unpopular opinion), "They did Fluke dirty with that hairstyle..."
