what kind of the ending was this.. who were those people after 17 years
The post credit ending was simply an 'imagination'. An imagination that if the massacre of 17 years ago had not happened, how would the lives of the characters had turned out instead?
Prince of Chagxin's battle scene with Fan Changyu gave me joy. Especially with that brief, haunting vision of Wei Qilin delivering the killing blow alongside Fan Changyu.
The Sui brothers β what an amazing set of actors. The younger brother, Sui Yuanqing, never saw the betrayal coming, and so, for all his crimes, his death β at the hands of someone he loved so deeply and couldn't bear to kill β felt fitting.
The female lead's acting was truly AMAZING, in fact, better than I expected. The male lead's acting was no surprise, he's always been a brilliant actor.
Kudos to the director and crew - the battle scenes, snow scenes were truly beautiful.
The Sui brothers - another amazing set of actors. The younger brother didn't see the betrayal coming, and so, for all his crimes, deserves how his death came from someone he loved so much, and couldn't bear to kill.
The post credit ending for Qi Min and Manager Yu was PERFECT. Not all connections are truly meant to be. The butcher crew - 10/10 Cast and crew - 10/10 The few flaws for me, include, at a point it was more of politics and military battles. Also, the episodes it took for the male and female leads to meet again after leaving Lin'an felt too long. In all, I could see their hard work - especially from the female lead's battle scenes, I LOVED IT!!
Upon rewatching this, this drama feels and tastes like trash. The most annoying person is the female lead. Her feelings for Su Rongyin, was something I could not understand. Also, the way she treated the male lead on multiple occasions irritated me. In addition, her powerlessness, be it against her father, the king, turned me OFF deeply. Score = 4/10
Honestly, the trailer did not do mucn to convince me to watch this. Nonetheless, I'm hopeful that this drama will be better than my expectations. That's what I like. Surprises.

The female lead is insufferable. Someone finally said it!
