Actually, I do not think it's about 'propaganda'.
When this drama was filmed mid last year, no one could have known that when 2021 comes, the world will still be battling with COVID-19. No one could've predicted that.
So, not everything is about 'propaganda'. Since China is still even fighting against the spread of the virus in their nation.
So, to me, the 'side story' is definitely a mistake from the assumption of the scriptwriter. That COVID-19 would've been over by the time the drama airs.
47 episodes for what please???? Wu Jinyan hasn't learnt her lesson. She should stop acting modern dramas with too many episodes. It gets draggy and loses its 'taste' , just as this one is already doing in episode one!

However, sometimes, a drama gets to be released earlier than expected. So, it may even be released before the last quarter of 2021, who knows?
Nonetheless, I'm certain it can't air this first quarter. Immortality and A League of Nobleman will definitely come before it.
However, I will be watching its first 8 episodes tomorrow, to determine if it's my type. Who knows, it can end up surprising me in a good way.
