My exact question, I loved and enjoyed it, but not to the point I would call it my all time favorite and the best of the best kdramas. There's just something about it that makes it forgettable after one watch, is it just me who thinks this way?

She sure is a talented actress. Been following her since 2015, however I didn’t like her recent works like TLOAL and Prosecution Elite which both i’ve dropped less than half way through due to weak plot.
This is a drama strongly focused on the relationship between the Mai family, mostly on ChengHuan and her mom. Romance is just a side plot. 2 kiss scenes are actually enough.

Totally agree. I dropped this at ep 26 mainly because her mom had absolute NO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT at all throughout literally almost 2/3 through the drama, and literally proceeds to step over boundaries. I also dropped this because I got uninterested in the repetitive storyline circled around her mom and ChengHuan. I am so tired of her mom. I try to understand her every time, but I just can’t.
