It was actually more convincing in the manga cause he started out just merely teasing her and giving her advice. Their relationship is like the friends/boss-subordinate kind until he started falling for her in the process. It makes little sense here so far *is on ep 2*

yes, You're Beautiful is awesome and funny! Haha. I ship the heroine with Tae Kyung all the way through.

Also, Queen In Hyun's Man is a really good time travel drama. Maybe you might want to try that next!

From tumblr? I didn't write any reviews from there. Only some comments here ^^ But anyway, I don't really mind negative reviews but I can't stand it when someone invalidates something that actually happened in the drama and dismisses it as a plot hole. I don't think YWCFTS has any or better yet, has a lot.

Hmm... I don't really get why it keeps getting compared with QIM and RP since it has nothing to do with time travel stuff (maybe it's the fact that the hero lived from the Joseon period to the present?) For me, I think the closest one I can think that's similar is I Hear Your Voice since it also features a guy who has powerful abilities and is always there to rescue the girl + the thriller aspects of it too. I liked that drama as well but yeah, I didn't enjoy it as much as I did with YWCFTS.

I was too invested with the OTP that I didn't really care how illogical and "deus ex machina"-like the ending would be - as long as it's gonna be a happy one.

However, the ending was far better than I expected. It wasn't perfect and fairy tale-like (though a part of me still wanted Min Joon to become a human and have those alien babies with her xD), but it has indeed a good moral like Maisweetlove said.

Anyway, this drama will always be a 10/10 from me. It definitely topped my list and I don't think I can find a similar OTP/drama as good as this one.

Uhh, didn't he told her himself when he was trying to scare her in the museum in ep 12? I also remember CSY talking to him about it- though once again, it wasn't such a big deal anymore since it was stated plenty of times that the past and the future doesn't matter for CSY anymore. All she cares about is the present with him.

And LOL @ Hyun Bin's "sparkling tracksuits" cameo at ep 4.

I usually had second male lead syndrome in dramas that feature the jerk as the hero and the nice guy as the second lead - however, in My Girl, both guys are really good that it's hard to pick who to root for! (eventually, I end up shipping her more with Gong-chan since I love their chemistry better <3) Anyway, I think you should give this a try. Lee Jun Ki didn't get the girl but he's really smokingly hot here!

I read somewhere that they left it open cause they were planning on a Season 2 - but yeah, somehow, it was cancelled =/ - which is such a shame since this one is very faithful to the manga. I actually like it better than the Japanese/Korean versions. Anyway, if you want to know more of the story, you can read the manga Hana Kimi. It's really good.

(I know this is an old comment but I still feel like replying something I read somewhere) Actually, So Ji Sub was supposed to be the male lead but majority of the fans find Jo In Sung's character more appealing so they made her fall for him in the end. It's just like what happened to Queen Seon-Dok where Bidam suddenly became the main love interest because of his popularity. Bad and messed up guys are really more attractive in drama, heh.
