Some months before LGIEF was released they showed clips of the leads next to the manhua the drama is based on . DYX and Esther were dressed just like the characters . The big eyed cutesy sunshine MM and the mischevous grumpy Musheng with his arms folded. .Also I think DYX nailed the angsty teen aged boy with his first love role. I have rewatched LGIEF a few times. First for the sub titles, second time to watch their expressions and the third time to pick up the small details within the story line. I would have liked more romance,but i realized FZ wrote Catching Demons when he was in middle school. A kiss on the forehead was probably a big deal.

The plot messes with the time lines, but they show to be teenagers in the series. Mu Sheng the younger brother and M2 is the youngest. I think she fits the role perfectly.
