Who are the tier 1 c actors and actresses you refer to , Is this according to their popularity or their acting ? For consistent good acting i would hope Steven Zhang is on that list. Dylan Wang reminds me of a young Tom Hanks, very charming and likeable. Xu Kai, a young Leo Di Caprio . i would put them on that list Maybe you can tell me which Leo Wu drama to suggest. I started LLTG, but it seemed boring yo me.

I don't think lightning can strike twice with it though. seen this more with Hollywood romcoms ie Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan did it successfully in Sleepless in Seattle and then paired up again in You've Got Mail. Both completely charming . To me Shen Yue is being typecast as Meg Ryan was then. She was America's Sweetheart for years. When she tried different roles it did not work well because everyone only saw her as cute and bubbly because she played those parts so well. Dylan Wang's agency is not going to want him paired with SY . Lin Yi and SY want to work together again in a love drama and of course with a good script. Lin Yi would be charming with her. Both agreed in a previous interview they would like it to happen.
I would like to see SY paired with Arthur Chen in a costume drama. I have seen enough of her in romcoms . i didnt like Another Me because of the other FL character..too annoying. For me that colored SY performance . i like Connor though, he's interesting . i liked Fair Xing in Miss Crow and Mr. Lizard. She brings different layers to each of her characters usually. She would have been better than the FL in Oath of Love . For SY, she gave a hint of what she is capable of in Mr. Bad , but then she reverts back to her usual, maybe it was the character. Romcoms are ok for her if she puts a different spin on her acting style, you knows dials it back a bit. I think that could work better for her . Liang Jie did it in Day of Becoming You, she was so charming , but yet held back to not overdo it. Thats the sweet spot that makes an actress shine in a rom com.
Fair Xing is quite good in romcom. She was wonderful in PYHOMS and My Little Happiness. Shen Yue is also good in them, just want her to branch out and take on more mature roles. She wants that too.
I watched some episodes, but when does it get better ? I thought i would like it because Xu Kai, as ML and the trailer looked interesting but so far i don't like the characters enough to continue watching it.
She has played the clumsy and tomboy roles enough. Her fans are waiting to see something different. I would like to see her in a costume drama because then she will get the better roles.

Her agency knows that and her popularity is ever increasing. Also she was at Starry Oceans twice now. Another thing is her photoshoot for TrendMo depicted her as a warrior with bow and arrow. Tnis role will have the FL fighting alongside AC. Directors see her fans are clamoring for her in a costume drama. That can't be overlooked. Meteor Garden is special and i follow those actors and actresses in their dramas . I have watched a few episodes of LBFAD, but it is not my genre . I like MG and it's also on Netfli, so no hateful comment section. I hope Mr. Bad goes to Netflix.
