The first drama I ever watched in my life and got me hooked to drama watching was Long Vacation. This was the…
I agree with your opinion about his acting- it always moves me.The Grand tribe is really exiting to watch, although it's impossible to like some of the characters.
He voiced Howl?!? He's really handsome too, I loved his acting in Mr. Brain :)
When I first learned that, I immediately started re-watching scenes from it and I was like: Wow, it's really him! Kimmy is Howl! His voice is awesome.

Hello, thanks for friend request. Yoroshiku ^-^ I see you like Nodame too, although I prefer the live action over anime. Are you new to dramas? Why did you start watching?

Legal High -light and fun, I watched it for lunch :) -nicely done, ridiculous humor but it would be better if it wasn't so episodic.
One Million Stars - I know you usually don't mind spoilers so a minor one : for most part you watch and you think 'so that is how people are messed up' and feel detached, but then it becomes so sad, that you start feeling for the characters, it has unusual development. At some point it's just like you finally saw the heart in a monster and you start to pity him.
Damn!! Illogical Insanity made my day and the king is Shunji.
Great article Jeani unni <3
LOL :) We're (my Tom and I) not that far with Bridal Mask to see this, but we could say from the first episodes that his character will go rogue.

Hello, my first ever MDL friend, how are you? Watching anything good? I just went over some of your reviews, they are brilliant: witty and not spoilerish - that's exactly what I expect from a good reviewer, so I'll be following yours ^_^

I though the same at first but then I watched Love Contract, and something else with him and it was a disaster. But with Rainie.. Actually, years ago, I had a shameful stalking period, when I spend hours online trying to find proof that they were dating in real life- the worst thing was I wasn't the only one. There were forums with debates on this subject... drama-addiction create crazy people.. And apparently I'm one of them ^_^
I just realized I watched some episodes of it at some point.. but I don't really remember how many and when.. I should put it on my list probably, but I don't really know where to put it.....

She had good chemistry with Show Lo and with Mike He, I didn't really enjoy her acting with different cast.
Another great article, that is so true. The thing I don't get the most is that, when someone behaves towards me that way in real life, I would never trust that person nor want to see them in my life ever again. But in drama-world? Our poor heroes and heroines just come back for more beating..

I think the good way to describe Fondant Garden is utterly cute ^_^ I liked it because of the outcome -who end up with whom -it was refreshing. There were some plot holes and sometimes it was quite unbelievable, but I had fun watching it. Sunny happiness-I watched it but I don't remember to be outstanding in any way. If you want something Taiwanese, have you tried Down with love? Bad characters will annoy you, but i think the main couple was cute, and I like some side characters as well. Another one I liked and think fondly of was Smiling Pasta, but not many people liked it.
Tatta Hitotsu no Koi- a classic love story, very well executed, I think I watched it in one go, so I daresay it was good.
As for Hi my Sweetheart you are correct. But they had great chemistry and I really like Show Lo-if you want something else with him, try Hot Shot.
Just a thought: if one analyzes those most cliched dramas, one may say that their message is that powerful women…
I agree that even clumsy people deserve to be loved - I'm one of them after all ;) But the message you get about independent women is that they won't be happy.. like ever- if they make a career, they will miss their boyfriend, whom they won't get back anyway...
Hana Yori Dango is the only one I've watched. I tried others but dropped it very quickly. I think that the reason was that I liked the actors probably more than the characters. I was hooked on the story when I was watching, but now I wouldn't like it that much. But I'm still a fan of the cast, they are great actors and I like to watch other dramas with them.
Just a thought: if one analyzes those most cliched dramas, one may say that their message is that powerful women with successful career are witches and girls that who are often presented as not really smart and have submissive character are the good ones, and they will get the prince charming in the end (and then probably be dependent for rest of their lifes)-LOL it's not really such a good massage when you think of it that way:/

I really liked your article. Really smart, good job. I hope you will keep on writing here, because I enjoy reading it. Otsukare ^_^
Great article! Really insightful ;) The bad girl that I truly loathed was from Taiwanese drama Down with love, she was a complete cliched disaster. Generally Taiwanese bad girls are very cliched. The worst thing about them is that they loose their pride and self-esteem in process of getting the guy. That's why I liked not-really-bad ex of Chiaki's in Nodame. LITTLE SPOILER****: She wanted to get him back, but the moment she realized what is between the main couple(actually before even Chiaki does) she backed off immediately, and got on with her life remaining a respected ladylike character.( I found it hilarious though how she still got some control over Chiaki's career by being friends with his mom)--END--
Other one I liked was Orihara Maya in Bloody Monday, but that was a different kind of a bad character- she wasn't after a guy :) and she was just awesome, and then even more awesome in 2 season.
