The characters of the men are already in line with men who lived in the 9th-12th century(song dynasti), where men were above all, and women were required to submit to parents and husbands, I think ML had changed his mind and tried to be better when he fell in love and wanted to marry FL in ep.5-6.. everything will be better... the drama has just started, they will encounter so many problems before having happy marriages
