They have plenty of romantic scenes between people with sizable age differences. But I do agree the make up in this series is vampire ready. Like just send everybody to the funeral home.

It’s funny your reaction to him. I actually don’t have such a strong reaction. Yes he could be a little much sometimes, but I think and remember the previews are misleading. They always mix them around a bit that in this case, he was also from his own perspective telling ML not to hurt FL, which we all know obviously he won’t, but it never hurts to say those words. But at least I’m glad that in today’s episode, she finally in person cleared the air. He’s going to be heartbroken. He’s gonna need to get over that.

Oh, I’ve been even more upset in some dramas which later on got fours and fives in ratings and reviews. In this case it’s not as much upset as frustration because I’m so sick of the character. If you read my very long thread below, you will understand what I mean even more. It’s like she was thrust upon us and we’re supposed to have some sort of sad feeling for her, but she’s so deplorable that you just can’t.

Welcome to my world. This is why I called TL the crazy train because she lies as easily as she tells the truth, though at this point, I don’t even know if she knows what the truth is. She probably thinks our FL is dumb and gullible and easy to manipulate, which is obviously the opposite. And I feel bad for her father because master Su, who everyone is trying to vindicate deserved a lot better in a daughter than that insane asylum. And the way Prince asswipe is doing everything in his power because of his Mommy complex and obviously he’s fallen for her in the 1.5 episodes that they slept together to help her makes me wonder if he was behind this entire thing or not. But I am literally at the point where I think she’s crazier than he is And that says something. And supposedly she is going to fall in love with him too? We don’t have that many episodes left, and I don’t think she’s capable of any sort of feeling other than revenge.
I haven’t gotten to that point yet, but I’m not sure if she got all of her memories back yet. Because if that was interrupted mid recovery, it could explain why she’s not mad at ML because whatever she remembered may be on shaky ground or she forgot stuff again.
But the fact that they’ve dragged this amnesia plot pretty much the entire series makes me think that they’re going to be in a mad dash for the finish line in the last 10 episodes because they’ve got amnesia plot, they’ve got final rejection of SML however that goes and where his mind goes and hopefully he remains on our Teams side, vindication finally of the master and everyone who was behind that gets stuck into prison and hopefully the rise to emperor for our favorite Prince. That is a lot of stuff to put into it 10 episodes so be prepared for that 10 m dash.
Though I’m watching and I’m not going to spoil anything here as I have a thread post going I will say TL deserves to get her motherfucking lights punched out. She has gotten on my last nerve with her antics.
OK, so far episode 27 my favorite portion is our second couple and them finally sealing the deal and the very nice kiss and so forth. I am seriously tired of the crazy train TL because prince asswipe is literally ready to eat from her hands so I don’t know how bad this guy’s past is, but whatever it is, he is ready to give himself over to her Mommy complex and all. I don’t like TL‘s version of revenge like using that poor nanny the way she did. She’s got that assassin guy asked her new BFF so use him instead. But now she uses innocent people for her gains. I don’t like that at all; ok onto episode 28. Let’s see where that goes. And our damn creepy prince even gave her a whole birthday gift lantern and candles everywhere. I honestly don’t know what to say.
Episode 28:
At this point, I don’t even think TL would be that angry if FL died. Somehow she is so hell-bent on finding revenge, even though FL is obviously into regaining her memories, but the way everything went at least started to with that weird voodoo guy and leaving all those notes for everyone, I’m kind of wondering if it was even FL who left those notes and not TL herself. It’s just not the way FL would act. I don’t know, but I really hope TL gets the shit smacked out of her. Like bitch has gotten on my last nerve at this point. I don’t feel sorry for her whatsoever. I just feel very bad for her own father who had the displeasure to raise a nutcase like her. Bitch would rather shake FL until she lost her mind than anything; her desperation is next level crazy. Thank God, the voodoo doctor said something. How did the assassination squad know exactly where they were? The probability of her returning at that time obviously her friend the bodyguard probably told Prince asswipe or the Prince is following her closely or there’s another faction in play or bodyguard dude is in love with TL himself. At this point aliens could fall for this crazy train. She trusts too many of the wrong people plus the voodoo physician guy and now the ML is hurt. Thankfully he brought reinforcements with him didn’t go at it alone. I swear TL it’s a good thing that she got sliced or stabbed or whatever it was; too bad nobody hit her upside the head with a frying pan but for now it’s good enough. I don’t care how many excuses she makes. I do not trust TL with anything. She will kill a baby if it means vengeance. Now FL knows a little bit about her past, but not entirely everything that she remembers because it was cut off too soon. I’m glad that ML isn’t taking her angry words and is letting her deal with what she needs to.
Meanwhile, how did SML end up in the same town? Oh never mind, our prince sent him lol. That dude does not give up that’s for sure; was worried about her rode overnight and didn’t eat anything. So he’s there to investigate on behalf of the prince or his cousin and also see his lady love who he won’t give up on until apparently she tells him to his face. Love how YX is more annoyed than ML is; I feel that he is ML‘s inner monologue 🤣.
You just feel for FL at her gravesite when she says she can’t remember their faces and their voices. I’m just so glad that ML was there to talk about how they met and her childhood and how she grew up a little bit. Which people were considered more important in their household. And both SML and YX were there to pay their respects as well. It was a nice finish to a rather intense episode. Moving on.
Episode 29: At least we have gotten back to the plot somewhat. Now we’re trying to vindicate to exterminated families. Both Gao assholes have appeared/one quickly disappearing. I don’t understand why FL even wanted to meet with TL. She can talk about that stuff with a lot of people not the crazy one. Even in their conversation, you could tell the difference between the two. One is saying who wants to get vengeance and vindicate her family and one just wants everyone to die, whether they were responsible or just in the way. Great for ML to be resourceful enough to draw her family members so she could at least have that until her memories are fully returned whenever that happens. I’m glad we are progressing back to the main plot finally. The whole Nancy Drew thing has been ok, but we need to get to the bottom of the original. But still, Nancy Drew has to work with SML to be a merchant from by the looks of it the Arabian Sea her outfit is pretty cool. It’s so funny how YX called her sister and that her business acumen was on point. Where has he been this entire show? Her business acumen is the only thing that remained from the original her. At least it’s not some random case but their own this time.
FL and SML are perfect working companions. Her little hand gesture was right on point. But I do have to ask why is she always there in the middle of battles? She cannot wield a sword, she cannot fight and she will always get hurt and because both guys that are fighting are concerned about her, they will go automatically to her instead of fight the enemy. She’s really not helping in those situations. She’s great with the business, she’s a great detective among other things, but in those situations, this woman needs to stay home. Why did SML bring her? And now it warrants other questions; are the bandits with the dude in the mask and the asshole they were trying to catch in the same faction or not? Is he just trying to draw attention away by having them attack or is this someone else’s people? It’s like we’re getting either more bad guys than we need or they’re just trying to throw the good guys off the scent. And the swords are poison? So of course FL instead of staying home gets slashed and poisoned, and ML had to suck the poison out. There was a scene filmed, and I think it was actually edited by fans where it was a lot more intimate. Like it wasn’t just him sucking out the poison, but he also kissed her shoulder. And then of course passed out right before she did. Can’t do without that. But love the line he says to her “Shut up! What use is my life if you die?” He seriously needs to beat it into her head to stop running into these dangerous situations like she could actually do something other then hindering; you had three men plus the guards kicking serious ass, and because she got injured, had to stop fighting, and they couldn’t figure out who the dude behind the mask was. I really want to know who the hell he is for Lord sake! He obviously belongs to some faction and whether it’s someone local or someone royal we need the answers.
At least SML didn’t appear during the sucking portion of it, but after both had passed out with the physician, but he clearly understood what had happened. You could see from his face that he was worried now about two people as opposed to one. And yes, I’m sure there was a little bit of something else there too. Makes you wonder would he had gone to the same extreme had he been the one in the room with her while ML had gone for the physician. We will never know. Interpret it as you like.

She just had this bombshell dropped on her with partial memories, not entirely all intact and no one can tell her the truth not even the guard? Some scaredy-cat up in here. But I’m glad that her two best friends and our prince are all in town. Now just have to figure out whether or not the Gao guy will be of any use and tell SML face-to-face. I am glad that she voiced the fact that leaving a note to him and the hairpin was inappropriate because who the heck wants a break up by note or by text in this era? We all as humans prefer to be treated with respect and have something like that done face-to-face. It doesn’t matter what the outcome is, but I think that her acknowledging this is a huge plus. I’m guessing they’re saving that for today at some point.
