Wait a minute how did he end up eating at the same restaurant where she just happened to work or stall of food? This is where the suspension of disbelief comes in I suppose. Because she walked right by him and they did not see each other. Now this is a city of millions of people.
All I’m saying is for the amount of trauma she caused him, he should’ve hit her with a broom. Him letting her get off that easily was a bit anticlimactic. But I’m guessing they have to start the romance somewhere.
So I just finished watching the three episodes. And this is what I got from them. I still think she should have stayed instead of running as it's out of character for her, especially after the speech that she gave to her family about "if you come after myself or the people around me I will go to the police" and so forth. So having her run away in the next few scenes was character regression. As to comparing this to real life, I don't know what she would've done. I can't say. I think the ML has done everything he could after finding her gone. He was a great detective. And of course, cheering for him, beating the snot out of the creep. But the way he had to find out that what the creep did from him broke my heart; they definitely cast the right actor to play the creep and the stuff that he said I mean, pedophile material right there. I honestly think that the FL was probably not even his first victim. And I doubt she was his last after he got out of prison. She was just the one that got away. But to tell you the truth, I feel more disgusted with her mom and the rest of that family than anything else. I mean, the creep is not withstanding, of course, but how she was treated by her own mother was absolutely unconscionable. I think I'm more pissed off at her mother than I am at the creep.
I do like the fact that her friends and the ML are giving her the space to do what she needs to do now. Even though she hasn't told him where she was, she did call to say that she was OK and safe. XL did provide a clue but he wasn't 100% sure. So we don't have ML rushing off to HK where it's a massive city and finding someone is like a needle in the haystack. I'm going to watch the two episodes tonight because I want them back together and I want this entire thing out and the air clear between our leads and it's time to show a united front against the creep and the rest of that disgusting family.

Detective SY is much better at hunting down clues than the police. I like how he told that editor or whatever at the newspaper where she used to work “what kind of escape is that? If this was your daughter, would you just let her continue to suffer from this kind of pressure? Please take that back.” Preach my man!
