That is why I am very adamant about her, not getting a redemption arc, even though she does change her name to…
So she can stay as an antagonist and a bully.

Exactly! I wish we got a glimpse of what happened in the demon world after Miaomaio and Ziqi achieved the better…
I mean, given that this was a transmigration thing. The real world was understandable to be put in there, but so many of the characters from the game having screen time and at the end, grandpa and the kid had time, but the ML was completely forgotten and both of the second leads disappeared as well. I don’t know whose idea it was but I just, think it really screwed up the ending a lot not happy either.

Yeah, that made a whole lot of zero sense.
I have no idea what the editor and Director were thinking at all.

I'm mad. They were just wasting his time when he was definitely filmed it. Looks like they cut all his scenes…
Very unfair for the actor and their emotions. And they left the second couple by the side of the road in the game no closure for them either.

When you mean FL you mean the character, not the actress, right? Because Shen Yue acted really well despite empathizing…
Where in anything that I wrote did I say that the actress wasn’t cool? I actually don’t follow either actor at all. I just decided to pick this up because I knew both could do a good job. I just didn’t expect such a script and such a blatant disregard for a disability in lieu of emotions of a healthy human being. I was solely talking about the character; if I can differentiate between the two, so can you. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I finished watching it and that ending was just no. I don’t like those kinds of things, especially after you go through this entire huge journey only to have him call her name in the real world and nothing even though he was clearly filmed. I will try to write the review today if not, then definitely tomorrow.

They showed Cui Cui and his grandfather at the ending scene. Why can't they show ML's face then?
Yeah, that made a whole lot of zero sense.

I wanted to like her for being tough, but she’s just going off of other people and acting like a bully. She hasn’t been through 1/10th of what our FL experienced and yet she whines like her life is hell.

Sad to see you drop this but I understand your point and it’s valid. As an online friend I hope that you feel…
She needs alcoholics anonymous honestly. And it’s not just because of ML anytime that she gets into a situation where she can’t control she turns to the bottle. This is not a stable woman, at all.

I have the feeling that they wanted that the focus stays on Miaomiao, but now it seems the ending and it's feeling…
I saw some thing along those lines and wish that they had shown it. It would’ve been the proper way to close this series.

She is lucky, but she isn’t thankful at all. It’s like she expected someone to always prop her up or save her.

Seems like they ran out of time and money I don’t know.

Personally, I really enjoy endings like this (common in many C-dramas) where it's open-ended, giving you the chance…
To each their own, of course I don’t personally enjoy things like this when you have a whole drama and then not to show one of the characters but just have them off screen it’s literally a waste of an ending.

If it wasn’t for the fact that she’s expecting him to be a normal healthy human being and react the way they do while she herself does nothing to change herself at all is very sad for me and angers me. I do have other things to watch so that’s not a problem. I did wish the show was better though. It had potential in my eyes, but it’s not for everyone and many people will side with FL. but at this point FL and SML are the perfect couple, the ML needs someone who has empathy and who can tough it out with him and be patient with him. I’ve also posted this on Weibo before and I had some people agreeing with me as well so not everyone is taking her side. Some people are understanding and can understand that what he’s going through isn’t what a typical human being goes through. Taking control of a mental illness requires a lot of time especially something that came after trauma. PTSD isn’t healed in a week either.

Of course, the character and not the actress. I’m intelligent enough to differentiate between the two. I’ve seen the actress. I think in one other drama and she did pretty well. In this case, the character is just way too self-absorbed about her own whatever and this is a total trigger warning for anyone with a chronic illness doesn’t matter what it is when you have these kinds of people around you it will not make you better, but make you worse. I don’t know if it’s a culture thing, but it definitely makes for people with chronic illnesses seem like more of a stigma as opposed to lessening it. Now I watched another drama with the same ML earlier this year where he also had a chronic illness and disability was more terminal, and the FL in that one was amazing. She did everything to help him. She bent herself backwards, even when he tried to hide his disease from her to not burden her. Here I think because people can’t empathize with someone with this emotional blindness thing they’re more leaning toward how she is feeling so it’s a different ballgame. But she definitely needs character development otherwise it’s just going to be for nothing. He’s the one jumping through hoops, while she’s standing still, maybe she needs therapy too. Someone below mentioned that this is the Directors first billing credit so perhaps he didn’t do proper research into the illness and ML, I think was trying to help her, but he himself has done multiple roles where he has different medical conditions and has nailed every single one of them. I’m glad that the actress herself was conflicted on the role, but I do wish she spoke up more and had her own ideas heard by the Director because I think had that happened role would have been much better.

She’s very bitchy and thinks she’s above other people even that little ounce of her being a slave for five minutes didn’t seem to phase or change her much. I think she needs to go through some more hard times otherwise I’m just tired of her getting screen time.

This comment section is quickly catching up to FOF that broke 20,000 comments.
It’s not for everyone I personally followed the drama from the beginning of filming, so I was really invested in actors and characters, and I really love the aesthetics of the entire show. Plus the actors absolutely worked their hearts out. The one thing I didn’t expect was the comedy aspect of it maybe that’s what you’re not getting either. In any case you’re more than welcome to read my review and see if whether that changes your mind or doesn’t.

Watching that scene on Twitter made me feel the same. I mean, that's the whole point of that disease. Kind of…
Never saw that one nor do I want to. But as someone with a chronic illness, they should not be watching this because you will get very angry very quickly.

This thing needed to have a better ending than just him calling her name and shown his face. If they filmed his face, they should’ve showed it. I don’t like those kinds of endings obviously it’s a happy ending because he still confessed in the novel before they returned to the real world, but I just wish these offscreen name-calling things were limited. And we never saw what happened to the second couple they just remained in the book without a proper closure.
