Writer-nim in any drama just hate ML's right hand men and love to torture ML more.. lol. You know, the need to…
Yes, I remember that. I’d never understand why there’s a need to turn a happy ending novel into a sad ending show. That said this one was written or done rather very poetically and well so that I’m not complaining about however the unnecessary deaths those could’ve been avoided.
Thank you very much for doing this. You know we’re always very patient with you.
This drama just dropped all of the OST‘s in one day. I think two people sing two OST’s or more plus there’s background music. It’s nuts. They should’ve spaced it out a little bit more.
If the reinforcements had arrived as soon as the army attacked with the forest fire, the battle scenes would’ve been better and probably less sacrifices like QY; that one was sad and unnecessary. I feel that a plot hole. Like why must the civilians fight regimented soldiers? It doesn’t make much sense. You’re telling me the emperor did not know that that town was attacked and it’s part of his country?
While they were filming, they did about 30 of these dances in different locations with the entire cast plus the…
We were laughing all the time because the staff would “leak“ video and fans were basically allowed inside most of the filming sites so every single time they would dance a new video would pop out even if it was just a clip and we started to count, and we found that I mean, they danced on every surface humanly possible on water, in water, on top of barges, on every single one of the sets, in every single one of their costumes. We reached I think it was 30+ actual dance sequences not to mention the best one which was on a snow day when they danced in the snow and , GJM made it into an MV but the entire thing was really funny because it was them not the characters actually doing it. And after the fact, they had a massive snowball fight. GJM got lambasted with snowballs from every single one of the cast and even some crew. It was hysterical!
The romance between Zigu and the Emperor old enough to be her father is a little bit much. I mean, I am all for age is just a number but here it’s just a tad creepy.
that's interesting I expected you to have the opposite reaction lol. I think I will come to have the same appreciation…
It was or is a bit all over the place, especially with him carrying her fake dead body all over the place is kind of strange, but it seems that he’s suffered the most out of this series. So he only technically lives like 10 years after her death and then he passes on as well, but they have Hope in reuniting in death so it’s a different kind of poetic writing I suppose. I have no idea what the novel was. And unlike with AJTL fans didn’t need to bring in a medical examiner to let everyone know that both leads had in fact died, which was by the way, very funny that that had happened, but the dude was actually following the series and came in to give his professional five cents.

His acting range is indeed quite impressive. I think this is the second or third drama. I'm watching with him and I have to say that he does all of these characters very very well and I look forward to his future. Why did you expect me to say the opposite? Lol
Ratings and review are up. Want to thank everyone who chatted with me in this comment section and I look forward to seeing you in future dramas. Stay blessed. 😇
Even though I only watched the very last episode I do have to say that the SE was very well done another one well done this year after snowy nights. It was poetic and beautiful. I still have to watch 27 through 32 but I really do like the way it was done. It does not take away from the story at all. I did not like 23 through 24. It was getting a bit too depressing and I’m skipping 25 and 26 just because they look pretty useless but starting from 27 onward I will watch and I do appreciate a good SE. This is in no way shape or form a comparison to AJTL. And well written SE’s are much more remembered than HE’s. The actors really did a good job. I can’t say anything about that. I will most likely write and review tomorrow, but I can say that just from that last episode I’m happy with it.
