Yes, being overly detailed is or can be good for a novel but not a script; nobody wants yawnsville for 56 pages. Actors can't work with that. But for YAMG, same screenwriter and novelist and it worked out well.

I see; so many ppl that shouldn’t be screenwriters as they ruin great novels. Wish more novelists stepped forward to write their own scripts as those really aren’t hard to write (especially when you already have a story). As for acting; I’ll hold out to see if she evolves. But right now it ain’t looking good.

Yeah she’s like added 4th wheel to the brotherhood. Why was she even cast? This isn’t a bromance nor BL. Yeah she acts like a pre-teen; voice like nails on chalkboard.
