In the 3 dramas I'm currently watching this one thus far has the highest rating in my book.

I concur. Not all doctors walk around with their hair and makeup done.

Good point, maybe it's not necessarily the blood itself because he saw pictures of blood in case files and didn't…
Well he left the attic when he saw the police officer Li Lan; the one the murderer killed on his way out who told him to run. After that he was found and brought to the police station. Who really knows what he saw in between that time? Everyone was focused on the dead body, the dead cop and injured other cop plus a hunt for the killer. Leng only saw him himself after being released from the hospital. I'm just guessing here but I'm sure the kid saw the killer kill the cop, and then saw at least a portion of the crime scene. For a, what 5 or 6 year old? You don't need much more then that for trauma and the basic knowledge of PTSD was explained by many different doctors in various episodes. XM suffered from dreams where he was drenched in blood; all very common PTSD trademarks. He didn't need to see the teacher in a pool of blood to gain the trigger.

I concur. This screenwriter actually knows what he/she/they are doing. The final four episodes are going to be quite interesting. Looking forward to them.

He spent his entire period growing up losing first one person whom he deeply cared about, then his only relation to violence. But obviously he's made it his goal in life to find out who killed his teacher/mother figure. In regards to him passing his exams; not surprised and I'll bring forth the dialogue he had with Leng again as an example: Leng asked him wasn't he cured from his PTSD and he said, I thought I was but after my grandfather was killed a year before or in October (whatever it was in months), it must have triggered it again. So him getting through the academy and passing all of his tests with flying colors may have well have happened before his grandfather passed and his symptoms resurfaced. Technically quite logical.

I find Xia Mu's intense PTSD from blood a bit out of place
Good point, maybe it's not necessarily the blood itself because he saw pictures of blood in case files and didn't have any reaction. I think it's perhaps the brutality or trauma itself. Another explanation is he's got issues with dead bodies or certain ones. PTSD is a complex animal. It doesn't necessarily result from this one thing. It can occur from an object, an experience with said object or thing in a highly traumatic environment. Don't forget he was a kid when this whole thing went down so not a fully developed brain plus if you recall the dialogue he had with Leng, he said he had gotten over the PTSD but then losing his grandfather triggered it again. The trigger may lie in a deep subconscious of our brains and fully understanding it does mean either facing it and other times avoiding it. The solution is never simple.

Idk if it's just me but I find Zhao Liying's acting a bit off, not enough as a psychopath or whatever she's called…

Actually we don't know that's she's the new and rather stoned looking 16th night. It's a guess some of us made. As for BH's bro; who knows maybe he'll ride in on a camel or an ostrich one of these days too.

This is how we passed the time in RFY too, if you recall. When the characters didn't meet our standards that is.

Who knows? But this time a romance drama but for some dumbass reason everyone has to have some love/like attachment here even when it adds literally nothing to the plot.

I would have actually preferred for 16th Night to hang around longer especially given who replaced her; such a letdown. I'm not a huge fan of loopholes especially when they are very obvious. I just hope all of these subplots and what not aren't used to grease over something lacking in the end, you know what I mean? Speaking of 16th Night, here're some lovely photos of the actress https://twitter.com/dramapotatoe/status/1471667683938603010?s=21
