The drama is bland. Rating is going down, down. Can't even compete with Luoyang. My Heart and Love at Night are…
Well you know why this person came to this section. Haters gonna hate. Ignore them.

There might be a possibility that she wanted Xia mu to again suffer from PTSD so that she could be his psychologist…
Hope in the end she remembers the oath she took as a doctor; to heal and not harm.

Looks like a fun and wild drama
Looks fun. Don't know when it'll see the light of day though. Maybe next year.

Seriously can't stand that they used a fake rape plot to lure in the professor. Because exposing him for what he actually did wasn't good enough. Using fake rape in a cry wolf scheme is just despicable and why many victims (female and male) are afraid to report it in the first place. Sorry, not sorry.

She will be killed if she dont kill him either by devine or empress.
She worked for the divine; she knew that, my point was entirely different.

Seems she's had other chances before because in the note from the big bad it said "this is your last chance to kill GBZ and BH." So she's had other chances, she just finally ran out of them.

She's always cared about him in her own sick way, but her mind and heart were poisoned from an early age. I just felt she deserved a more bang for your buck type of ending. She dramatically exited the room and then showed up on that platform where she equally dramatically acted out her self revenge plot. Now according to the next previews some other person takes her place. I really liked her character, I just think either she should have continued onward or given a better ending. 16th night who struck fear in everyone and yet was the owner of a casino was a very complex character that should have been flushed out better. Again this is just my POV but everything about that finale of her character was built up so well and then that last minute let down.

They could have had a duel at the end with neither being able to kill the other and it would have been the tug of war she deserved, choosing to kill herself then. But just standing on the platform and plunging her funky weapon into her stomach theatrically after all they had been through together was just less then her brutal character deserved.

Ok that was such a cop out cowardly death of 16th night. All this time, this badass killer assassin who's practically invincible and that's how it ended? Did the writers run out of ideas after killing off so many ppl? Talk about underwhelming; a sob story and a suicide. That was just really pitiful for such a powerful character. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Perhaps. But he's suspicious of her so won't turn to her so easily with trust.

Is there a limit of max 40 episodes in place now?
No, there were series with episodes in their 50s this past year. So I think 50 is the cut off point but we'll see.

To be honest I wish they had not gone with any romance in this and stuck with the mystery. I was not thrilled…
Exactly. That's what the biggest problem is. This isn't a gooey eyed, stare at each other as the camera circles you 70 times type of drama with the violin music in the back. This is more balls to the wall, mystery, Kung fu, and rock n roll.

So both have their pluses and minuses. I really hope they continue to focus more on the mystery and history of the story and stop the romance or lessen it because it completely knocks a good suspense traction off balance.

Heard about it but never saw it. Isn't the production team the same or so I heard?

She was at least funny in earlier episodes. Now that she realizes Erlang cares for her somewhat, she is demanding…
I honestly didn't see the need of her from the beginning; other then the sham marriage. After that the script could have just hid her away somewhere; not made her ultra annoying and in the way like a throw rug. This drama just doesn't need romance. When these extra parts are thrown in, it throws an otherwise strong dynamic off kilter. Because there's simply not enough time for it. If you look at the genre of this series, it's historical and mystery. It has thriller components.

I agree. This would have been just fine without the Romantic aspect of any kind. Like even the subtlety of GBZ and SY doesn't really work because there's literally no time to be sweet and cute. This isn't that type of drama and it takes away from the strength of it. There's a pack of murderers on the loose trying to take down the empress and so far they're ahead of the game. Adding that BS melodrama just takes away from the effectiveness of an otherwise very strong team dynamic. I mean WITM has three leads and no one is romantically involved and it's doing just fine.

Can anyone tell me if there will a little bit of romance between shen yu and xia mu?
This is not a romance drama; it's a thriller.
