I really like her grown up arc. She definitely has a mind of her own. I love how she was able to bring him to…
I still think she acts a little childlike in her adult life like with the wine glass before she got drunk she was puffing up her cheeks and stuff, but whatever I don’t mind that. But yes, I really like how she brought realization and understanding and another perspective, other than just his own into his frame of mind. I think she could’ve probably done that six years ago as well, but maybe she needed time to mature, and I’m glad it finally happened. He needed to hear that that he was gambling with a lot, and she was not going to fall in love with someone easily and what if her next husband was a complete jerk and abusive bastard then what? He would feel horrible and very guilty for leaving her to that.
You know when actors have to shoot multiple takes of a certain scene like the crying in the elevator for HY because he went from normal eyes to puffy red eyes in two scenes later so definitely multiple takes for him to get there. For her as well. When you start crying the first time your eyes don’t automatically get that red and puffy. You need to cry a few times to get there. And then when he tells her the rest of the stuff, their eyes are back to normal like they never cried. Suspension of disbelief engaged.
Speed and love Hidden love The first frost Love me love my voice Ski into love Only for loveFalling into your…
I didn’t like all of those and I think I didn’t watch some of those, but you are right for the most part there are no toxic people anywhere which is such a plus and very rare.
I’m on 25 and I like how she basically reads him the riot act of “have you ever thought about that you’re basically gambling with my future too when you made that decision six years ago?” I like it and I like that she walks away. That’s an adult woman talking right there. She gave him a bunch of examples and lets him know what’s what and she makes that choice. Finally she makes a choice and she’s allowed to make that choice because all the truth is out. He’s no longer allowed to make choices for her.
He looks so innocent at first. He gives some comedic relief when his character is introduced, but... I am deceived…
Exactly. The thrill of the kill he’s basically a serial killer but it seems like a lot of people from that country up north are. Kind of reminds you of Ted Bundy though right? Looks innocent kind of cute nice to everyone, but then flipped the switch and holy crap. This role really gives him that opportunity to show something different of himself.
Think it is a nickname for the eunuch/chief preceptor Cai Wen Zong. If you have watched episode 22, it was mentioned…
I watched later and it mentioned him and I had to actually go into the cast list to figure out who he was then I saw it. So maybe he can still lend a hand to these surviving forces of XH and friends to kill this last big bad. The dude is old so if he doesn’t survive, it’s not going to be a big deal but hopefully he will help his emperor get where he needs to go.
This is such a powerful and beautiful (in a bloody/tragic way) drama, I don't want it to end 😭 It's absolutely…
The actor himself is also not a fan of HEs so I don’t think he’ll be coming out of this one. But I do hope at least some of his friends survive. But I agree with you this one out many of his characters would make the most sense for not surviving. In death, he will find peace finally because he’s just one man on a mission that just keeps taking people he cares about. And he himself I mean, how much can he take and this is a pretty big enemy to fight. But I think if he gathers enough smaller forces into one larger force, he will be the David that beats Goliath.
Guo Cheng’s first antagonist role and he’s really playing a psycho villain very well. Gives you chills. Glad Old Sha called him out though; he said what everyone was thinking. This role gives him some versatility he needs. For those that may not know or remember; he first came into the spotlight in CQL/The Untamed playing the outspoken Gusu kid Jing Yi. Its been 6.5 years since that drama aired and he’s had other roles but not like this. So props to him.
I hope he’s really not talking about sacrificing the emperor. I think there’s definitely something behind that like a bluff or more psychological warfare. I saw someone else mentioning it in the comments, but the emperor needs to come out and fight for himself as well. he can’t just have this one guy who’s not that old do everything for him. We haven’t seen him in a while either, but he was awake and fine.
I like the fact that ghosts are giving him peptalks now. But I feel for him that he slept for four days because he was so exhausted. He’s been going nonstop since virtually the beginning, barely had any downtime only if he was injured. But he definitely needs to think; he may have few friends left, but that doesn’t mean he can’t join forces with his former enemies to get rid of the larger enemy. Oh and hope SCL croaks next; absolute psycho. We still don’t know where the actual emperor is, and he does command his own army so all of these little pieces can form a great David when facing a Goliath. We’re in the last arc so with six episodes left this fight is going to be both psychological and serious. I don’t know if ML will survive. He’s not a fan of happy endings, but I hope that at least some of his friends do like YZ and his sister and the young emperor too. I really hope for a powerful finale and not a rushed one. Actor playing King of the Northern tribe is kind of contradictory. They’re very much ready to kill at any point but at the same time he’s got that whether fake or real sense of calm is kind of unnerving. But he needs to leave the cackle alone. Cackling every other sentence doesn’t help his character.
It was fun chatting with you about this great series! Have you finished Speed and Love? I'm not sure which I loved…
I wouldn’t call either masterpieces because that’s a very heavy word to throw around but no, I have not finished speed and love yet. I’m going to very soon though.
So is everyone still alive in 22? Where is the junior sister and our young deposed emperor? Has XH met with YZ? This enemy needs XH to have as many allies as possible. Please spoil but with tag please.
