Episode 49; when CG and AS walk into General Li's tent only to find Ice Melt with him; anyone else notice the look AS gave Ice Melt after all of their discussions? Like " you better not to kill her or attempt this time." I'm not sure AS trusted ice melt one bit despite calling him an admirable hero when fought for Leyan and him being Leyan's hubby now also on orders from wifey to protect CG. Thoughts?
is this good? im not a big fan of the main actress but the plot sounds interesting so i wanna watch
Very good; keeps you invested from episode 1 through the entire thing. All the usual cliches and tropes don't exist and even all of the side characters evolve and develop as the story continues. Highly recommend. :)
Leo Wu is phenomenal in ep 25!!! You cannot argue. Sorry.
Yep, he nailed that entire portion. Even in the video I posted yesterday, the actor who played Mu Jin complimented him on his acting there. It was a job well done.
E49. The tree-trunk-under-the-moonlight scene. I just re-watched it for the umpteen times. Noticed some interesting…
They've got something called the The Magnolia Awards which seems very much in tuned with maybe our Oscars or SAG; though costume dramas don't seem to be nominated often, perhaps screenwriting could be.
Well I read to the bottom of this long thread and though I don't agree with the dislike of Mimi, everyone does have the right to dislike whomever they want. Beauty of these well made shows; every character will strike a nerve somewhere. But that's just my five cents.
But notice how he only gets really drunk after very intense scenes where he learns shocking news.
Considering he felt himself inferior to his brother and the entire series he went from an ignorant fool, to finally growing balls and comprehension, I don't begrudge him the need to imbibe; he couldn't tolerate the truth head on.

I really wish Leyan hit him with that stick she threatened him with. That boy needed to be stripped of his title and deserved a good old fashioned ass whooping. There should have been a law somewhere that you can't be a crown prince or princess until you finish school, go through puberty, and live with the locals.
