Yes I think he is helping the cops to catch some baddies. Nothing is clear atm but it seems that way.
That’s what I’m getting from episode two and the previews in the trailers of one of the episodes that he’s hard undercover for some I don’t know cops or some intelligence operation. I wonder how it’ll work when she joins the club and gets out of her pretty little dresses and shows her character so to speak.
So the truth we see at the end of 22 when she’s holding some papers (probably what he finds in tomorrow’s episode) and LW walks into the bar and that friend is hugging her and smiling before leaving, and she quickly hides the papers in her purse and looks at him with a bit of fear. So they couldn’t keep it sweet and simple through 22. Obviously by the awkwardness, the best friend is in on it to some degree. Just started that ache in the heart with what tomorrow brings and we know it’s not going to be in the beginning of the episode either so can’t just get it over with. They walk out together and he’s all excited talking about hanging out with her in New York and you can tell by her face that a lot is off so she just kind of lets him ramble a bit. That’s sort of how they finish off the episode with her telling him while if the dorms aren’t uncomfortable, you can rent a place and how they messed up her schedule a little bit in New York and she won’t see him for a while. I honestly wish they kept it people not knowing until 23 as opposed to you see something much different in 22 at the end of it. Even though everyone who has seen spoilers clips previews trailers, all that stuff know the truth it’s still better to keep it at least pure enough until it happens in 23.
I just honestly wish it was at the beginning so we could get it over with and end it and he goes abroad and she sees what he planned for her and whatever, however the past timeline finally ends, and we move into the present for good.

I agree that what we're about to see is extremely cruel. And while there's no excuse for that I kind of feel that…
So far I’m halfway through 22 and she’s lying to him through her teeth, but we do not see so far her talking to that friend about starting a new company or joining hers or whatever it is. So far, they are both happily planning to go to the US together and she even has accepted a job in New York. That looks like the acceptance letter was typed by she herself and I don’t know why he didn’t see it. I guess he was just too happy. But we’ll see in the second half whether there’s any sign of the liar that she perpetrating. Maybe they did it on purpose because not everyone watches the spoilers and knows what’s going to happen so they wanted to still keep 22 like they’re so very happy. I mean he’s going to at some point in the next half episode get laid so that’ll be interesting.

She can throw the baby bird out of his nest, but the way she lied to him and abandoned him in a foreign country when he has been abandoned his whole life by his parents by his family and now she basically does the same thing. There’s so many ways to get kids to grow grow up and grow wings so to speak without lying to them and blatantly disrespecting them and choosing for them when he’s an adult. He’s planning their future while she’s lying to him. But I think the whole point of this is to see why their relationship in the current timeline was where it was the entire show and even though he wanted very much to get close to her, and he actually said it in the current timeline that he wanted to grow and be resourceful enough and more of a man to stand in front of her properly. That was the last time we had a current timeline actually now that I think about it when they had that confrontation with him, not taking his headache medication pills, and him confronting her about all the stuff she’s been doing for him being just out of guilt for what she did and not because she had actual feelings for him. Just like she said in the past, she will say maybe in the current timeline that she doesn’t want to lie to herself she obviously has feelings and she didn’t want to put them away anymore, but face them realistically and follow her heart. That’s how they end up getting back together. And that’s why I say up top. Perhaps he didn’t need a huge massive apology from her because he had become the man that he wanted to be through all of this growth, even though he obviously didn’t do with the healthy way as we learned in the beginning, but he had reached that point and now it was the ball in her court, so to speak time had passed he didn’t want to go back to the past, but we needed to know what happened to make it what it was in the current timeline. I’ll see how it goes in episode 22 and whether she sneaks around behind his back with the starting of the company or we don’t see it, but it’s obviously happening and she lies about going to the US and all that other stuff.
Lord that’s so cruel. My heart just breaks for him and of course they’re just going to gloss over it like…
They could’ve had a long distance relationship. In 21 there’s already issues with our job and he gets the offer. She said that she tends to act on impulse that’s a hell of an impulse she acted on and the way she did it. Oh my God, but I guess you will see it tomorrow. I just I don’t know what to say about any of it honestly. I posted a pretty long thing in regards to maybe there’s another perspective to the way. He’s thinking from the current timeline and the way they are showing it to us.
The only thing that makes me wonder is if they are basically just telling the story of how it was five or six years ago and the ML has moved on from it and it really is the past for him, but he is now more forceful with his asking of her, I suppose and they get back together and she’s decisive. That’s really the only thing I can think of for why he didn’t bash her with all the stuff that she did and accepted her flimsy apology in the beginning. He just didn’t want to bring up the painful past, even though we saw him harming himself just to get close to her during the show which she understood as well. I still hate what she did and how she did it and then the break up because it never crossed her mind that they could have a long distance relationship since American universities have so many months off during the summer and one month for the winter plus weeks off during the year in general they couldn’t make it work? I guess we will have to see that transition from 22 and 23 and what she says to him in 24. But what I still continue not to like is that they are only focusing on her and her feelings and not his. A relationship is between two people and not just one person and how they feel. That also applies to the past of course.
And perhaps what the actors were talking about in their interviews in regards to their characters getting redemption in the current timeline I think for her it’s redemption given what she did and for him it’s vindication. She redeems herself by understanding her real feelings and not letting him go and taking care of him that’s her way of making up for what she did in the past. And for him, it’s vindication that he never did anything wrong, and he deserves the best treatment and the way he treated her in the past or the present is in fact, not wasted. So if before just watching episode 22 gave me serious anxiety, and fury now I’m looking at it from this other perspective. It’s still cruel. It’s still unnecessary and weird and unrealistic and it could’ve been done better but there’s more to it now in the future or current timeline.
She really care about him we watched it in previous episodes. She want him to become a successful and strong person..…
Yeah, I saw that too but the way she did it was just way too cruel. Honestly, he’s an adult, he can make his own decisions and she could’ve sat him down like one adult to another and had a conversation with him. Even if he would’ve gotten emotional and don’t leave me and whatever they could’ve had a long distance relationship, they could’ve tried that nothing wrong with that. He had vacation especially in the summer; in the U.S. that’s like 3 months in universities when he was studying. They could’ve visited each other. I mean there were so many options, but the one that she chose was the worst one of all. And it wasn’t even her choice to make because it was his life and he’s an adult. With the long distance option, and the fact that she never even considered it I think that kind of also makes it unrealistic. Because this particular option is just too weird like why make up such an elaborate lie when you really don’t have to. I mean, she knew that he had been abandoned his entire life and now she was doing the same to him. So I don’t stand behind that at all.
that part was not on the novel, it's really heartbreaking, how did she had the guts to do that to him 😭
Exactly, why not do that? But what they chose instead is extra cruel. They could’ve had them talk about it. Talk it out like there’s 1 million things they could’ve done except what they did and I’m talking about the directors.
Lord that’s so cruel. My heart just breaks for him and of course they’re just going to gloss over it like…
Did you watch today’s? Did she have any plans to go with him or did she lie about it from the get-go and just plan to start the company with the friend? Meanwhile lying to his face and being affectionate with him and all of that and he’s planning their future in the US? I think the cruelty level is through the roof and he deserves an apology that’s appropriate and that that flimsy thing he got in the beginning about her not handling it well. Not handling it well would be the understatement of the millennium.
Came to reviews because I am at episode 17 and still she is lying to him, so wanted to learn how much to skip…
Thank you for reading the review. Sometimes reading reviews is better before watching dramas. Especially the ones that don’t automatically give tens by middle of the road ratings.
All I can say is, I haven’t watched today’s episodes yet, but if she lies the entire time when she has no intention of following him to the US even for two years, the cruelty is through the roof. And he should’ve called her out in the current timeline for a lot more. The flimsy apology that she gave for not handling things well when she essentially left him abandoned in a foreign country, heartbroken, and getting sick because he just kept focusing on work is unimaginable. And if they only look at her side of things as opposed to how he lived and what not without her, she absolutely must give him a good apology, because if she doesn’t and it’s all focused on her feelings, though they get back together in the current timeline, it’ll look more like charity than anything else. Because his feelings and what she did in the past, she can’t run from.
Even in middle school. I remember when I was in eighth grade and there was a sixth grader pregnant so don’t put it past anybody. But that still doesn’t mean that they’re a good kissers.
So heartbreaking knowing what's coming, and seeing FL lie to him about going with him, and ML planning their life…
Lord that’s so cruel. My heart just breaks for him and of course they’re just going to gloss over it like no big deal in the present; that flimsy apology she gave him in the beginning for “not handling things well” was nothing. She could have gone with him to the states for 2 years for real. Instead she was working in a great company; probably forgot about him altogether after a while. Meanwhile, he’s heartbroken, sad, starts to overwork and get sick a lot.
I just honestly wish it was at the beginning so we could get it over with and end it and he goes abroad and she sees what he planned for her and whatever, however the past timeline finally ends, and we move into the present for good.
