I’ve also noticed this in the last year or so and I think it has to do with MDL server glitches that ratings don’t happen until a lot later or they jump. They don’t gradually go up and down but they go from say an 8.2 to a 7.6 in like six hours, it makes absolutely no sense no matter how you write it. You can have 30,000 people rating and I don’t think it would be such a drastic change. I think it has to do with glitches and if it happens here whichever direction People just need to keep in mind that MDL servers glitch like nobody’s business. From what I understood from both the staff and one of the admin that I spoke with was that MDL has been getting so many new users that the servers just cannot keep up And they are not cheap to buy or to move everything over so it takes admin a lot longer to do so. So the next time there’s a massive server glitch, you’ll understand why. It’s not necessarily haters, but it’s the actual system.

Yeah, that was one of the things that confused me was that an episode one AI said it would not interfere after he got to a certain point in the novel I guess the real novel the original one. Now whether this actually happens or not, we don’t know. I still think that the white haired version of him is like a doppelgänger or maybe that’s AI itself who the heck knows. Watch will be watching the Chinese version of iRobot lol.

Oh I see. So AI wants him to learn loss and everything that goes with it. But why create the antagonist to look exactly like him? That doesn’t make sense.

That’s also a good thing to do. If you don’t like something, just drop it and move on when I drop something. I never review it. I give it a rating and that’s that I go to the next thing. But if I’m going to start a drama, I just do it without expectations so I’ve got both. I’ve got no expectations and if it really sucks and doesn’t catch my attention. I drop it.

Thank you so much for that. A lot of people try to explain and though I give them props, they couldn’t quite get there. So he was writing in AI and something happened and he ended up I guess in the story but he’s got some weird bugs under his skin is that the AI bug like what triggers it? Also it seems like the AI is writing the story for him and not the way he wanted and it said that if he lived or followed the story while he was in it the way it was written then it would give him permission to write the rest of it the way he wanted to. Am I even remotely close to the truth? So that’s something I don’t understand if he’s writing the story why is it that It’s not happening the way he wrote it? Technologies is way too confusing.

Yeah, once I start seeing things in the overhyped category, especially when there’s little clips and things like while the show is still filming. I always wonder what’s the point of that. But this is something I’ve probably said in this comment section and other is about 1,000,000 1/2 times but Something I guess you could call it. A piece of advice never go into any drama whether you expected like it, love it hate it. Don’t care about it or neutral about it. Never go into any drama with any expectations. That way if it’s a letdown, you don’t care. And if it’s a great drama and then you’re happy. It just saves on that whole grrrr feeling if you know what I mean.

Yes, life always has to come first. I wish more people online would understand that and instead of hating on people or dramas or whatever they would disconnect from the Internet go touch some grass go to the supermarket. Buy some milk like get away from the Internet world, so I totally understand.

I don’t know who that is either the person you mentioned below. But with IMDb, yes it’s not like other international dramas where you have like hundreds of thousands of votes on films or blockbusters or something however, the fact that drama is especially Asian dramas are getting more vision and more people are seeing them on IMDb. That’s very important. Haters or not international folks as a whole especially those who are used to using IMDb like I am, I’ve been a member of that site since I think I wasn’t college which is over 20 years ago and I have seen how people read all reviews and then make up their own minds. It’s not like here on MDL where people read negative reviews and all of a sudden the thing is negative. Here so far I don’t know how many reviews there are. I don’t pay attention to those reviews other than the fact that why this drama just started why are their reviews. That’s usually my thing. But the fact that MDL is blocked in China, but IMDb is not also I think they have access to rotten tomatoes but I personally don’t use that site. There will always be haters. It’s just the way it is. Even the best American European, whatever film will have thousands of haters. It’s just the name of the game. You have to disregard that watch the show if you enjoy the show, read it and review it in a positive manner and there will be people That will be watching it after you’re done that will read your review wherever you write it and will agree with you. That’s just the way it is. I did not know that was the name of his fandom at this point with everyone I follow I think I can make a fruit salad with maybe some vegetables some names Some protein. People have the strangest names for fandom’s.

No, I’m confused about the AI in the first episode like wasn’t he writing a book? How did some AI matrix type program or bug take over his life and transmigrate him into the very book that he’s writing and yet everything seems computerized. That’s the part that I don’t understand. Maybe because I’m old school and even if I do write a novel and I will use the computer. I won’t use some extra extraordinary programs to do so I’ll just use Microsoft Word lol.

I agree; there have been quite a few underrated gems and dark horses this year when it came to dramas like they looked small budget and what not but then you have a solid storyline and actors that really pull it off and do a fantastic job and you’re like wait where did that come from? Wow, that’s awesome. So you really never know. There are some dramas that are overhyped to the extreme. I think it was last year that I saw something that I had to drop because it was just a mess, but it was so overhyped and they poured so much money into it just to see it flop so big or small you never know as long as the storyline is strong and the actors can pull it off I think it doesn’t really matter what level of whichever it is, but it’s still nice to know you know?

The thing is every drama just about is on two platforms nowadays because their market isn’t good unfortunately. So it’s really hard to rate a drama of any sort based on that. But I do wish they would tell us like where on the scale this one or others land unless it’s specifically spoken about.

Maybe Pegasus gave it wings lol or that commercial “Red Bull gives you wings” maybe the horse had a lot of Red Bull I don’t know lol.

Yeah I laughed when that horse came through the roof. I was just like how the hell did it even get up there? It was just silly. 🤣

You haven’t seen FOF? It’s very good. Especially the cinematography like even though GJM is considered very controversial in their industry. I call him a mad scientist because he just does these absolutely extraordinary things both real time CGI or some other program. But I will caution you watch it with a box of tissues. And don’t forget the special episode at the end or the extra episode whatever they call it.

I don’t know what a kiwi is other than a fruit and apparently the icon for IQ. IMDb is incredibly popular and there are a lot of Asian dramas on there. Many people put them on there and people rate them over the years. And not just cdramas, but Kdramas And movies and all sorts of things. If I find a title that I’m watching on there after I’ve watched it and rated it and reviewed it here then I will put that rating and review up there. But I will never do it before hand not hear not there. IMDb is the most popular internationally and viewed the most. I’m not saying don’t do it. I’m just saying don’t base it on 44 people wait for the number to get larger. We’re only 10 episodes in. I’m actually quite surprised how many C dramas are on there because I remember when I would just type in one drama and like 17 others would pop up that I’ve seen and I’m like wow that’s pretty crazy some of them have over 1000 ratings so it’s pretty decent. You just have to give it more time.

I’ve seen all of the dramas you’ve mentioned and maybe because I don’t look for that particular thing I haven’t seen anything BL related. I’ve seen friendship. I’ve seen brotherhood but nothing BL. Then again like I said that’s a genre I don’t watch nor look for. I just enjoy what I’m seeing as it’s written and that’s it.

People should know by now that if it’s China, there’s no BL. And if it’s not in the tag or the genre, there’s no romance either. If there’s a slight crush, that’s as much as it’ll be.

So this thing has a novel it’s not an original IP? Honestly, the less romance the better.
