It's season 2 of this show and its prequel; it's interesting to see the evolution of the show in the 3 seasons
Both involve a smart FL who has an ability to solve mysteries by using her skill and mind. Both have enemies around them that they can't see just yet and both have to deal with a scandal and conspiracy that with both FL and ML plus friends help solve who's th real antagonist at the end.
Similar in solving crimes and finding out who the real mastermind is. Lots of different agendas but all the characters experience a lot of growth throughout.
It’s the latest sequel and has some amazing talent including the incomparable George Lam and returning from season 1; Liu Yuning.
Also stars Dilreba as the smart female lead. She knows who her man is from almost the get go; solves problems through the workings of her own mind.
Similar stalker second leads that don't take no for an answer and investigations into family members deaths plus palace politics.
Palace politics; multiple couples and people falling in love or marrying the wrong people first and then finally the right people. Much jealousy but also a strong sense of loyalty towards loved ones.
Both the Journey and it's sequel are about sci-fi and time travel as well as immortality and different lives. A few people suffer from similar amnesia. And it's a combo of costume and modern drama as well. Also has a love triangle.
It's a whodunnit just the same though romance does take a backseat. Also about a woman entering a profession as the first of her gender in a male dominated industry. Has a lot to do with betrayal of close friends but of the male leads. It's quite interesting how similar the two are. Both female leads are intelligent and strong, charismatic characters that never give in or up on their mission to find the truth.
Mature relationships of the leads, plenty of comedy. No cliches or tropes and all misunderstandings are worked out through proper communication. Every couple in YAMH are great friends or mentors to the others. Both series are well rounded and interesting.
Both have strong male and female character leads. The stories have very modern relationships with proper communication, development, and even humor. Both have a male lead that is attracted to the female lead from almost the first episode. Neither have the cliche tropes these dramas are famous for.
