For me, it was clear since they mentioned the possible interference with Joon Hyun's mom, because we already seen In Soon's mom flashback driving the car and getting nervous, so I just realized that JH's mom was in the next seat of the driver. So, it wasn't confusing for me. What made me more sure that In Soon's mom was more nervous than Joon Hyun's, which means she was similar to accomplice rather than the one who commited the crime, she just observed what happened to her friend and didn't help her. that was her mistake. I think the writer was focused on other things so he missed explaining it clearly :S

It all depends on your interests, if you love crime .. thriller and abit of mystery, there is also slight romance, then you may develop a liking to it..
