I remember renting this from my library back in 2002, couldn't remember the name for the longest time and barely could remember what this movie was about. Finally just googled Hong Kong movies from the year 2000 and looked for a title that had the word 'time' in it. Lucked out and here I am wondering why I thought this was so amazing back when I was in high school lol.
Anyway it was nice to find and record my first Hong Kong film I watched without the influence of my dad saying 'it's a cool move'.
This had a lot of fun moments, but not a lot of action to set off some of the long scenes of verbal battles and scheming. Wish there was more for the ending too after everything is settled. To have everything wrap up and end in a single episode was disappointing after so much build up and other aspects of the story seemingly getting more attention, but that could be in part with how the novel originally settled everything.
