The FL really is the shining star to me. I just loved her acting so natural and she was neither too aloof or too…
Same here! I’ve tried watching other recently released cdramas, but I just couldn’t bring myself to finish them, even the ones praised for having “perfect” storylines. The characters just didn’t keep me engaged, which is the complete opposite of Pursuit of Jade. I feel like it’s been a bit over-nitpicked. It’s really not bad, especially when you consider the NRTA guidelines they had to work within during its release. At the end of the day, I always stick to my rule: if I’m not enjoying it, I stop watching. Time’s too precious to spend on something that doesn’t hold my interest.

Logging back in to rate this drama that pulled me out of my historical cdrama slump. I went in with zero expectations, and I’m so glad I avoided reviews beforehand. It made the experience even more enjoyable.

What really made me love Pursuit of Jade is the female lead. She’s incredibly lovable, a true kickass heroine and a real fighter. At this point in my life, I genuinely enjoy watching female characters who can take down strong opponents without relying on the male lead.

To be honest, I wasn’t initially interested, but the actress completely drew me in. Tian Xiwei’s performance as Chang Yu was so natural and emotionally convincing, something quite rare to see from such a young actress. I’m new to her, but she absolutely delivered, and I’ll definitely be checking out her future projects. The same goes for Zhang Linghe. I knew him from Maiden Holmes and Love Between Fairy and Devil, but POJ really made me appreciate his visuals even more.

If Tian Xiwei and Zhang Linghe ever lead another drama together, I’ll definitely be tuning in. Their chemistry in Pursuit of Jade is top-notch!

On Lost You Forever Season 2 Jul 17, 2024
I feel like they shouldn't have divided this series into two parts. Right now, I'm just watching this one, minus the level of enjoyment I feel with Season 1. There are a lot of things that don't make sense and characters act out of character.

Perhaps I just expected too much from this adaptation or I should've let this finish first before watching everything so that I wouldn't feel let down like this.

Time and time again, after a successful drama finishes, you'll see a surge of bad reviews. It's always like that, even in movies, animes, albums, books, or any kind of medium for entertainment, so if you know how to discern, you won't use it as a basis for starting something.

Anyhow, Lovely Runner has been lauded by the majority of its viewers that despite being the underdog when it comes to promotions from the drama network it became a massive hit this without Netflix streaming it, mind you. So if you want something wonderful, refreshing and romantic that will distract you from your stressful life, please watch it now. ☺️
