Tang dynasty was very open and egalitarian towards women. So very educated women from renown poets, medical practitioners…
My dear, I have a question for it but it is off-topic, do I have to watch Longest Day in Chang'an, before I watch this? I read online they said I had to watch that, before I can watch this so I’m really confused. Please let me know, because I’m only at the beginning of this drama. So I can pause it, and watch the other one, if that’s the order it needs to be in. I haven’t watched Longest Day in Chang'an yet. Thanks for helping me.💐
it was hard to accept that my pookie Wei Liang has to die. i really bawled my eyes out when that scene came. and…
I was so heartbroken. He was like my favorite character aside from the leads. My sister-in-law really likes orchids, and she has them all around the house. I didn’t really even notice them before. But now every time I see her orchids, I think of him and breaks my heart. I will always remember the scene where he’s carrying the orchid plant in his bag. Waiting to bring it back to her to propose to Xiao Tao. 😭☹️

Okay my love, no rush. When I see your reply, I’ll let you know. I chose it this way, because I wanted you to experience the whole thing, without outside influence. Then we can compare notes.🌹

Yes, in fact, you can plagiarize yourself. It’s unethical. Imagine the other production company, seeing their work in another drama, they might or might not have some type of feeling about that, correct? They posted this drama as original work. So if the other people paid for her to write a story for them, shouldn’t she not reuse it in another drama? And I’m speaking about this as someone that likes this drama, I’m not some type of anti-fan.
Also, Google is your friend. Hope this helps..
In many professional contexts, including media production (like film and writing), reusing your own previously created content without acknowledging it and presenting it as new and original for a different production is generally considered unethical self-plagiarism.
Here's why:
* Misleading the audience/producer: When you submit or publish a work, it's generally with the understanding that it is a new and original contribution. Reusing your own work without disclosure is a form of misrepresentation, as it implies the work is fresh and created specifically for the current production.
* Breach of trust and intellectual integrity: It violates the implicit expectation of originality and can be seen as an act of dishonesty.
* Potential Copyright Issues: If you previously published your work and transferred copyright to a publisher, reusing it without permission could infringe upon that publisher's rights.
* Impact on your reputation: Being caught self-plagiarizing can damage your credibility and career prospects.

She’s like crazy biased, if she doesn’t like an actor an actress in one thing, she’ll automatically say like their new stuff is crap too, even though she states she didn’t even try to watch it yet. That’s when I stopped watching her stuff, when she started doing bias crazy stuff. I would’ve had more respect for her, if she critique people’s acting more or the storyline, instead of like their outfit, the actors age (ageist), the lighting, set color palette and the music (etc etc) it’s ridiculous. I can’t even explain it.😒🤪

I watched some of her vids years ago, but I stopped watching her a long time ago because she is very biased. There are times, she just goes into dramas not even caring about the storyline, she just spends like most of the time, rambling on and complaining about lighting, music, and set production crap. Like I get it, she used to work on the set of Chinese dramas, and every once in a while, it’s OK to discuss about things on the set, but she does it too often.
It’s quite annoying, because people go to her channel, to listen to drama reviews about the dramas storyline, not just like set production value all the time. I clicked on the link, and I know exactly the crap she was about to say so, I didn’t even listen to any of it. I only commented, because the post above said that the screen writer was not the same.

I’m pretty sure it’s written by the same screenwriter (Xiao Xiang Dong Er). Because in episode 10 she even plagiarized herself, copy pasta from her old work in Love and Destiny. Almost word for word. I caught it in the beginning of this drama. I posted it below if anyone’s interested. I remember posting it a while back on this thread.
In ep 10, when Li Qing Yue (Ep 10 @ 32:50) was telling Bai Jiu Si, her name and where’s shes from etc etc. I felt like I was having a flashback, from the xianxia Love And Destiny. Where in Ep 50 @ 3:00, Lin Mo (NiNi) was telling Jiu Chen her name, where shes from, and who her family is in the mortal world. It was almost the same, word for word. Turns out the screen writer is the same person. No wonder the lines sounded so familiar. The reason I recall these lines, was because I remember being so heartbroken, the first time I ever heard these lines, in Love And Destiny. 💔🥲
The people in Lingnan are much nicer than Changan.
Hello dear, I miss talking to you. I haven’t seen you around. And no, I haven’t changed my handle. It’s always been this one. I’m glad you’re liking this drama. I came to this thread when it first started, and saw that you were watching this drama. I purposely waited for it to almost end, then come ask you, if you were enjoying it.
I’ll probably start it tomorrow. I’m excited to watch this, because growing up I watched a lot of dramas and documentaries about Yang Guifei. I know historically, how important the story about delivering fresh lychee to the palace was. Thank you for letting me know. I always trust your judgment when watching dramas. Have a good night or day. 😊
