Calling someone a "self-satisfied pretender" when you don't personally know her is incredibly disrespectful. I've watched many of Meng Ziyi's shows, and she's genuinely the most kindest, most caring, and most considerate actresses I've ever seen.

Meng Ziyi belongs on Hi6 like family. She has dedicated so much of herself to this show, and the Hi6 family clearly treats her like one of their own. She has earned that place from the very beginning through her sincerity, hard work, and the genuine bond she shares with everyone there.

You may not like her, but reducing her entire personality to such an insulting label is unfair and completely uncalled for.

And please don't call that your "honest thought." That's not honesty—it's just a hateful assumption fueled by your own bias and jealousy. If Meng Ziyi's presence makes you that unhappy, then maybe you're the one who's not welcome here, not her.

Honestly, she's a great actress. But I also don't want to see her in a romantic drama ever again. I think Be Passionately in Love and Derailment could have had a better chance of becoming hits with a different actress. But, she absolutely slayed her roles in The Double and Seven Relics of Ill Omen. Her movies are really good too. It's just that, when it comes to romance, I have to say sorry from my side! 🙂

After reading a few reviews, yours is honestly the one that felt reasonable and made sense to me. I haven't finished the drama yet, but I've loved every episode I've watched so far. The points you mentioned about what you liked really resonated with me.

As for the two things you found disappointing, strangely enough, they made me even more excited to keep watching. I've actually seen something very similar happen to someone in real life. She truly and passionately loved someone, but they still ended up breaking up. Even though her feelings never disappeared, she got into several relationships to try and move on. At the same time, she would test his feelings in different ways, even though she still hoped they'd eventually get back together.

To me, it's like someone ruthlessly forces themselves to move on because they can't be with the one they truly love, even though the trauma and feelings are still there. That perspective actually makes this drama feel quite unique to me. I don't think I've seen many dramas explore this kind of emotional conflict in the same way. Not every drama has to end or unfold the same way just because they share the same trope. Different stories can take different approaches while still fitting within the same genre.

Anyway, I think I'm going to enjoy this one overall! 🖤
