Hmm, these are all Kdramas. Should have just specified so I wouldn't need to see if there was any other type of…
Thank you for the reply. I tend to stay away from Kdramas due to their melodramtic stories and since this listed "Asian Dramas" I thought there would be a mix of other dramas and there wasn't but thanks for those references instead though.
I expected much from these comments, you girls sure hate suspense drama's lol. Does everything have to be melodramatic…
The Jdramas I normally watch (for suspense) usually have both, a large plot in the background plus other things happening in each episode (just like Kurosagi that I just finished). But my point is because how a lot of girls like Kdrama more than Jdrama, I knew I would find complaints here even though Kdrama has a lot of romantic cliches but I never seen you guys complain about it. >_> I was irked by the hypocrisy from the comments here so I said something. :\
1. Male 2. Unfortunately yes. 3. Depends on the country, if it's Kdrama, yes but from what I've seen in Jdrama's,…
Haha no problem.
To elaborate more on Q4. I might just be unlucky when I choose my Jdramas and so there's always a new male lead that I don't recognize. Basically meaning, I haven't grow any attachment to their acting capabilities, that's what I meant by "barely done anything", as in roles they played in. Regardless though, there's at least 2-3 males that I could look for more roles they've done to see if there is anymore interesting dramas they've done. So yes, this is still a male perspective case lol. :p
Thank you for responding though, it just feels so alone here as one of the few males here on MDL. xD
5. It's encouraging to try it out but I would still watch a drama regardless with actors/actresses that I don't even recognize if the story sounds good.
6. Not at all, even if I watch a drama for an actress, I still would have rate it just the same even if I didn't know who that person was.
7. A big yes, I catch myself watching mystery, suspense, comedy themes more than anything, but I wont exempt myself from romance if it's my flavor.
8. Do standard stereotypes shape your views for Q7? A little bit because it's hard to find something good when you have a male perspective so I'm stuck watching dramas with expectations that are easy to meet. (If I understood the question correctly.)
1. Male
2. Unfortunately yes.
3. Depends on the country, if it's Kdrama, yes but from what I've seen in Jdrama's, there is a good balance of genres within them so no for Jdrama.
4. 5:0 I have nothing against male actors but none have really stood out to me that much and for the ones that have, they barely done anything.
"This type of infection mutates at a rate 2–3 times slower than KDV and consequently is less diverse."…
If that's what that meant, that's kind of disappointing to fall under that category for people like us if I understand correctly. As for me, as far as I can tell, I find it pretty much impossible for me to enjoy Kdramas due to their must have melodramatic scenes and their need to have romance in it no matter what the setting is. But that may have to do more with me being a guy I guess lol. Thank you for your comment though, I wasn't sure if what I'm quoting above means Jdramas are less diverse in terms of story or something and as a "JDV", I can assure you they are quite diverse. :)
"This type of infection mutates at a rate 2–3 times slower than KDV and consequently is less diverse." What does the "less diverse" in that sentence mean?
