i haven’t started this drama but i’m curious. Did he actually kill her? because i feel like that will bother…
I don’t think so - if you look closely, you’ll see his arrow is still on the bow, unfired. So we think someone behind him must have fired the shot. And he looked really surprised.
Some haters are voting it down with 1 star ratings, but it’s actually really excellent, with great writing and interesting characters. Its depiction of violence done by the bad guys is harrowing, though! I think some can’t bear to watch those parts. But the heroine is so sweet, loving and courageous! ❤️ Unlike other time travel stories, it’s not about revenge, but about saving all the people she cares about. lAnd there have already been very dreamy kiss scenes from flashbacks to her first life.
Pls don't hate me, it's just my personal feeling. I find the FL looks very matured for her age while the ML looks…
The ML is in his 30s, as well! This is a typical example of the usual thirtysomethings playing teenagers thing. American dramas do the same. I think it’s because this way, the actors are really good and have finished their training and gained a fandom following. That’s preferable to high school kids who have the right age but zero training, no fans, can’t work many hours, and can’t film kissing scenes. Sometimes it bothers me, too, but I’ve learned to just accept it and imagine them to be younger.
I'm really enjoying it and the matrilocal husband is a refreshing twist. Stories about smart, resilient, and resourceful…
Hao Du in The Long Ballad, the imperial scholar husband of the eldest daughter in Perfect Match, or the ML in The Princess Royal are all examples of well-respected matrilocal husbands in dramas (the latter even becomes prime minister). I think the position needs to be differentiated from ‘kept men’ which were not properly officially married Fu but were instead taken in like concubines, which indeed had a much lower status and disrespect. But you’re right that it’s still not quite as respected as when the wife marries into the husband’s family, which I think is why the FL goes for a third son who won’t inherit anything. She pursues the prince only for gaining protection and influence, not as a potential matrilocal husband, right?
Sighs** what's with Cdrama troupes glorifying the mother intentionally denying the father knowledge of paternity…
I agree! From the start, he deserved to know he would become a father and given a chance to be part of his children‘s life! He also sounds emotionally devastated by her ghosting him after their first sexual encounter and thereby breaking up with him. And he deserves to know that his son has a life-threatening illness, and that he‘s a potential donor who could save him! Imagine if he found out one day that his children were not only kept from him their whole lives, but that one of them died when he could have saved him!
This FL obviously has extremely serious communication issues, doesn’t explain anything, and yet expects him to just be an emotionless automaton performing its duties without understanding anything! She‘s not treating him like a human being but like a stud horse incapable of higher reasoning. I can’t wait to see some genuine human to human respect blossoming here.
Same.. and I finally made the decision to drop Perfect Match. I couldn't get with the story and the chemistry…
The fourth couple in PM has tons of chemistry and cuteness, it was worth sticking to the series for me. I think the couples get better and better as the series progresses.
Episode 6 and I am still loving this show! So much fun!🥰The slow motion (intentional or not) wirework is just…
Yes, that slow hilarious fight scene with Prince Hengnang pouting like Zoolander was so entertaining! Not sure if it was meant to be so funny, but I don’t mind!
Can't you tell he is a narcissist and will isolate her and keep her in a cage. He just wants to possess her? There…
It was just a tongue in cheek first impression post during the first episode, and mainly meant as a praise for the actor, no need to take this so seriously! Didn’t you see I updated it right away with my revised opinion after watching ten more minutes?
