It is not the concept of rejection that is the problem. It is the repetition of it. In history, he proposed twice and got rejected twice. In the drama it seems like he is constantly confessing and asking for her love，and she is constantly postponing her answer or refusing it. It was cute the first a few times, then it got old TBH.

I agree. As a result, I no longer root for them as a couple, which sadly is the whole point of watching the show. Sigh.

I know what happened historically, but this drama is not a documentary. The appeal of the dramatic conflict is no longer there after you repeat it too many times.

I am on Ep 14. Honestly it has gotten repetitive. The king confessed for the nth time, and for the nth time Deok Im had that deer in headlight look. I don't know how many more times I can watch this. I hate to say this, but I may have to drop the show because of it.

It is the same house. I read it somewhere. Rookie historian had a lot of politics and the romance was not even that sweet IMHO.

He definitely had feelings for Deok-Im already, that is why he was so surprised and dismayed when the curtain was raised and it was her sitting there instead of someone else. He definitely would not have said those words had he known she was right there.

In Ep 10 they shared a passionate kiss, so I would say they officially confirmed each other's feelings then. They had a gentle kiss before that, but Dali tried to back down after that kiss, which led to MH's statement:"I never make a mistake with my mouth." It was hilarious.

Dude I thought Min jae was Yeo jin goo.. I've never been so confused
I watched the first three episodes thinking the ML was the same guy in "Hotel Del Luna". By ep 4, I started having doubts and looked up the actor's name. I am so glad that I discovered KMJ, he gave such a wonderful performance as MH in this drama.
