The amount of force when she kicks him 5 metres across the street is obviously not okay and exaggerated like in pretty much all cop kdramas. But she was completely right in arresting him. The dude ran after someone and assaulted him. Just because he turned out to be a murderer doesn't give ML the right to play batman. I doubt the case would qualify for South Korean (fucked up) legislation of self defense either. So yeah ML is lucky he is rich and laws don't appy to him.
