this is good but the subs....😑you have to make a guess as to what they're saying after reading them
Yeah... if this was just a fluffy romance the subs might be okay. But for a realistic slice of life/workplace drama I really need more than this. Pretty sure this is just machine translated. Usually you can tell by the pronouns that are all over the place. A shame because I quite enjoyed the first couple of episodes I watched.
Why? What does Netflix do?And I have a question, is it a good thing to air all the episodes at once? I don't think…
It has its pros and cons. Netflix has done this for over 10 years and it has clearly worked for them. It's a vod platform, not tv. Why should people not watch stuff when they want to? They made binging a thing. In terms of attention dropping the show all at once arguably creates more buzz. For a few days it's the show everyone talks about and needs to see because all the eps are already out. But of course there are also a lot of shows that drop and just get ignored or forgotten. And it can't dictate the cultural conversation for months like a hbo show can. But that's more a question of quality imo. There is just a lot of junk food on Netflix that is okay to binge but you wouldn't want to wait months to watch the whole show.
It has its premiere at the Jeonju International Film Festival on April 29 followed by a few more screenings. As for when and where it will get released to wide audiences - no idea. But they screen it with English subtitles as well so I'm hopeful it won't be like other Korean indie movies that stay without subs for years.

mdl user: watches drama with garbage subs
mdl user: "Welp this has bad writing"
me: huh?
Why don't you give some examples for English fansubs for kdramas of the last 5 years. You act like there a lot of them.
