I like the alternate ending better. I felt it was better aligned with the changes the characters experienced. HauHau's outcome was not as clear, though, and I wished her outcome would have been clearly spelled out like those of A Bu and Xiao Chi's outcomes (as in she goes for Xiao Chi's gf).
