I'm really confused by FL behaviour. First she rejected ML because she felt their social gap is too wide. She ignored ML calls or contact basically put him in cold room. She felt inferior in front of all his the upper social class friends and acquaintances. She told ML that their relationship will not work n ends. Then she gets all jealous when she saw ML with the actress dining together. Because of jealousy, she called ML wanting to hear his voice. Unfortunately the actress picked up the call n she immediately hang up. Then she torture herself till sick n ended up in hospital. Then she accused ML of neglecting her for not contacting her etc. Telling him that paying n caring for her in secret is not the way of relationship etc. Here is where I'm confused. She rejected him n yet she gets all jealous n then accused him of not caring???
Girl, ML has enough tough time battling corporate takeover. If she was caring of ML, she should show concern of his well being n the huge stress he was under n not adding more emotional stress on him on this on/off relationship. Either you are in or you are not. She wants to be his GF yet she cannot handle the stress of being his GF n level up to him. Instead she wants him to lower to her level. If this is how she feels, then 2nd ML is the right fit for her. She should just let ML go n she seek her own happiness with a guy that fits her comfort zone n level. To be with ML, she has to power up n be strong to match his level.
Sorry, i don't like her wishy washy way of handling a relationship. Blowing hot n cold n not even sure what she wants. ML is already in shit up to his eye balls with the company matters, he doesn't need the extra stress of a relationship problems n to babysit or babystep her up the social circle/level. She should instead try to help him n not just about her n her emotional needs n insecurities.
A good question that many people asked. Are you aware of the high possibility that Wu Lei, the actor who portrayed…
Btw...Leo Wu is not known as country's "baby". He is known as "Nation's Little Brother"
Kissing scenes are matter of choice by directors & actors. There are quite a few famous male actors who don't have kisses in their drama and the drama is still wonderful n powerful.
This drama is good except for the choppy editing. Wish they edit it better. Can Qunfei drop that SiQi already. She can't love anyone except herself n money and status. If she got ditched n preggo by the rich playboy, she solely deserves it. In any case the playboy has never promised her anything...just his money.
The most weird is ML went from someone with utmost self confidence to someone whose confidence is so easily shaken from words of a scumbag like "You are now nothing" ...well it's not like ML went penniless overnight with no house n money so why go into deep low moral?
The other is FL knew from the beginning that ML is rich n moves in the upper circles. She pursued him relentlessly n got him on his feet. He starts his social meetings again with her as his gf ... suddenly she felt they have a big social ladder gap. What???? Geeze! π€·ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ And now her turn to disengaged in the relationship. π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ
The bad guy, at times I feel sorry for him but he deserves it.
I'm enjoying this drama very much to my surprise. It's kinda slow but the script is good. All the actors are good too. Love the synergies of all the ladies.
What I love about this drama is the portrayal of a realistic stories of all the ladies life. Even the grandma is included and found love again.
Feng Xi should really ditch that bf of hers. When he told her of his future plans n none included her, it's already a big red flag that this guy is a louse. 10 years with him n supporting him, he never has any plans to marry her at all. I'm shipping her with the chef. Really got angry how he4 bf got all jealous n angry upon seeing the chef in her house and started accusing her.
The housewife Si Meng ... I'm seriously upset with her husband who single handledly just decided that her hard earned money will go to pay for the housing loan. What a bastard! First he has no respect for his wife. He belittles her abilities n then when he heard she sold her script for x dollars ... without asking, he just decided on the spot that that amount should be used to pay for the housing loan. Arrgghhh... the audacity of that man! He always put his wife down. Men!
Love the chemistry of Bao Xue n Song Yang. They really fit each other.
There was actually a discussion about Avenue X's review on the Ancient Love Poetry page. Quite a few people mentioned…
Yes I heard a lot of comments that her reviews aren't the best. A lot of people stop following her after they saw some of her reviews that were not at all justified n as you said a lot of viewers find her reviews are biased.
I can't wait to watch this drama. Read the novel. QJJ is so Dilraba totally. YY fits YuTu totally too. I had so much fun reading this novel with image of Raba and YY playing out the scenes in my head. π€£π€£π€£
I hope 10shit will not pull the same stunt as they did with TLB. It will be another of their biggest stupidest marketing decision. This will be another commercial merchandise sellout. They can even start selling it before it airs. Then again, they are so rich I guess they don't care and is still willing to continue to bet on the wrong horse.
Thanks so much! Very beautifully done. So well done, I wish whoever who did it could have done a longer one. This…
Yes I would like a longer clip too. It shows the ChangGe when she was a Crown Princess n after the assassination of her family n her harsh experiences after that. We can see how her face changes from a carefree innocent girl to maturity overnight, the look in her eyes, the way she smiles, the way she cries even, her expressions.
Thatβs such huge achievement guys!! All that is left is for netflix to pick it worldwide so keep requesting…
10shit just missed a big commercial merchandise sellout opportunity. I guess they never thought this GeSun CP will be such a big hit globally. Too bad they bet on the wrong horse.
I'm glad TLB n GeSun CP got the recognition they deserve. ππππππͺπͺπͺ
Someone did a beautiful side by side compilation of the Before & After Li ChangGe ... here we can clearly see the differences in ChangGe demeanor and her expressions. Dilraba really captures and brings out ChangGe well.
Oh maybe it was just me ... I felt all was shown in her eyes n expression of her face when she cried. Sometimes you don't need to verbalise your regrets. It's in the mind and heart.
Let me put it this way, if you were a teenager n you just had an argument with your mom, your mom was sending you away too, you were angry at that moment, would you complied to your mom's request like an obedient child? or would you stomp off like a wilful teenage kid of 14?
Perhaps if ChangGe is the character of LY, she would obey n called her mom one last time ... that's really the character of LY (no matter how upset she was she will never disobey nor go against an elder command or request.) Then I would agree that the director should have ChangGe called her mom one last time.
Here we have ChangGe. Her personality is tougher, stubborn n can be quite wilful. Or else we won't see her going out dress as a boy and play Cujin despite her parents objection n frown upon her roaming around the city as a boy. If ChangGe were to turn around and still call her mother one last time, then it won't be the wilful character of ChangGe.
ChangGe like A'Sun don't really verbalised their feelings if you noticed.
Just want to mention that the soldier who came in n stumbled upon ChangGe is actually the trusted aid and General of Crown Prince Li JiangCheng. That's why she had a hard time digesting for a minute or two when he wanted to kill her and the words that her mom's nanny saying that he was a traitor.
Another thing is if the dagger is with Li ShiMin, why her mother killed herself with it? And why LSM left the dagger on the floor?
She went n hide in the famous restaurant outside the palace. That's where she met Ah Dou.
Correct me if I'm wrong. They were able to escape because A'Sun helped them, right? He put a ladder next to the wall or something.
I don't think she took the antidote. I think she put the drugs at corner of the cake, hence she used her finger to scrape the part off before eating the pastry.
The Director cannot make ChangGe to call Ah Niang one last time because ChangGe was angry with her mother n she was kinda wilful then too. So like a teenager upset with her mother, she stomped off into the carriage refusing to call her mother 1 last time. This will be the guilt and regret that weighs heavily in her heart when she saw her mother dead. Hence she cried with tears of regret, guilt with great sadness ...regret that her last conversation with her mom was in anger, regret that she didn't hug n call her one last time, regret that she didn't tell her mother she loves her one last time, etc...that's why her crying scene for her mother was so sorrowful and painful ... a very different sorrow n sad cry from the death of Ah Dou or the Governor.
If the director had ChangGe say goodbye n call her mom 1 last time, that scene won't be as impactful.
Thanks. But this does not truly capture her emotion of sadness. More a short summary. To feel the full impact…
That scene you mentioned is great too. How she face A'Sun and was devastated upon realising his real identity. Her world just torpedoed again yet she has to suck everything in n steel herself from collapsing...that was a brilliant performance too ... at the end after they have completed the deal, we see that she couldn't control that 1 tear that rolled down on her cheek while still maintaining her composure.
Thanks. But this does not truly capture her emotion of sadness. More a short summary. To feel the full impact…
Exactly. That kind of emotion is not easy to act out. When she cried, we can see all these emotions just run through her eyes and nuances on her facial expression too.
Her crying expression is so different for each person she mourned ... from her mother to the Governor, his wife, Ah Dou, the General, Mimi ... none of them have the same display of crying...each has its own special emotion that CG connects with that person. I was amazed by all the nuances she can emote and express it out.
With Mimi death, the only time I see her crying like a fragile girl in her lover's arms.
For me, there was a scene that stuck n strike me to core was her look of forlorn mixed of sadness, battered spirit, despair, loss of people she loves again, couldn't understand the world etc ... we can see all these just running in her mind ... all displayed on her face with tears just slowly roll down her cheeks ... no big sob nor ugly crying ... just that forlorn figure with silent tears rolled down her cheeks ... the feel ... just wow.
