Yes, I thought it was very weak plot point by the writer. The SML already did so much for her in the first life, why would he jus5 give her up like that. I guess the writer wanted a way to pave the way for the ML and didn't find something better. She end up with ML just bcs he the MALE LEAD. That my biggest turnoff in this drama.

For me she was never fully in love with ML, as you know her first love was ZZ, and then her friend YL. Her love for ML was forced not naturally. We will have to wait for the scene where she got kidnapped which around 85% of the novel.

Around 85% into the book she got kidnapped by some sect that wants to capture Xiewei, he tries to save her but he's captured too (IMO he did it deliberately) and they live together as a couple and use the same room/bed/ bathtub to trick the sect leader, and Xiewei forces her to moan at night to uh, make their scheme look realistic. He gets turned on and forces her to give him a bj/ legjob so he basically r*ped her → He takes a sword for her later on in their escape, and once they are free she thinks a lot and goes to him and says "You are an idiot" and he hugs her happily.
When I read it I just assumed that JXN felt like she already everything with Xiewei that a man and wife would do, so she kinda accepted her lot? IDK man lol he just forces himself on her until she accepts it. This was from the novel they might change it on the drama.
