Around 85% into the book she got kidnapped by some sect that wants to capture Xiewei, he tries to save her but he's captured too (IMO he did it deliberately) and they live together as a couple and use the same room/bed/ bathtub to trick the sect leader, and Xiewei forces her to moan at night to uh, make their scheme look realistic. When I read it I just assumed that JXN felt like she already everything with Xiewei that a man and wife would do, so she kinda accepted her lot?
