the way I underestimated this drama needs to be studied cause wtf???! This drama was SOOOOOO GOOD!!! Iâm in shock. I LOVED it so much. I usually never watch dramas where I donât know the main leads or dramas where the main leads are not conventionally âattractiveâ but I gave this one the benefit of the doubt. Boy am I glad I did. I donât know the ml and fl as Ive never seen them in any other drama but I loved them in this. Yeah theyâre not the prettiest but theyâre still so good. Loved the fl, loved her character, loved her humor and loved everything about her. Initially did not like the ml but when I heard him speak English in episode 2, I was hooked. Thereâs nothing more attractive than a Korean man that speaks fluent English. Loved that about him. They had mad chemistry! Chemistry that needs to be studied fr. When they got together and had lovey dovey scenes, all I could do was keep on smiling like an idiot and giggling like a highschooler. Loved the sfl from king the land and the sml is one Iâve always seen play a villain in all the other roles ive watched him in. Happy to see him play a kind guy. Loved their little romance and back and forth. It was cute. Loved how he asked her out. So funny and cute. Fl was basically a feminist because of her misogynistic father and ml thought all women were gold diggers because of his mother. Having these two characters with different beliefs clash was intresting to see and I understood from both their perspectives. All lead down to parental trauma. I found episodes one to eight so ridiculously funny and hilarious. The little editing they do to make the show look quirky really goes a long way as thats one of the many reasons i enjoyed this drama so much. When they got together in episode eight, I kept praying and hoping that they would not spoil the remainder of the film with the last two episodes. Safe to say they did not. The scandal breaking out and the worldwide reaction was so realistic. All things lead to them breaking up but they chose to stay together, another scandal came up and they eventually had to publicly break up as that was the only way for peace to reign. Looking in from both sides, I understand. When her name was cleared and then she called him over, the little mind game he did with her was cute as he always got rejected and had to at least show her what it felt like. Loved that they EVENTUALLY ended up together. This drama just shows that itâs not all men or women that are the same. She learned that, he did too. I enjoyed absolutely everything about this Kdrama and would 100% recommend it case it was so good.

this was something I never thought I would watch again but definitely had to because of the whole team suho or team seojun saga. Letâs start by saying this. Iâm not a fan of cha eun wooâŚ.wellâŚat least i wasnt before rewatching true beauty but nowâŚim not so sure. I love hwang in yeopâŚalways haveâŚalways willâŚinitially, when I watched it YEARS ago, I was definitely team suho as hes the male lead as the ml neeeds to end up with the female lead and not the second guy. That has always been my principle. I cannot deviate from that. But my babe in yeop played seojun and the one I initially did not like. Eun woo, played suho. So it was a really conflicting situation. I wanted to see if I would deviate from my principles of the second guy not getting the girl cause of my love for hwang in yeop. But I can strongly say, nothing can sway that principle. I was always team suho and I will ALWAYS be team suho, this just reassured my claim. Let me start by sayingâŚI LOVED Lee suho as a character. Bro was sooooo calm!!! The definition of a soft speaker fr! His acting faltered in some scenes but it wasnât so bad. Ive seen worse. I loved him and lim ju kyungs backstory, love how they met, loved their romance, loved their chemistry, loved everything about them as a couple. Han seojun, I hated at the beginning sooo much. Bro constantly blamed ml for their friends death when he obviously had nothing to do with it cause BRO COMMITED SUICIDE!! Apart from that, he knew ml liked the fl and only started talking to her to make ml angry and jealous. No matter how much I love hwang in yeop, I just cannot support that as itâs wrong. And then you fall in love with her and expect her to be with you? Nah. Be ffr. When itâs clear as day that the ml and fl like each other, cant you back tf off? No! He kept insisting and didnt get over her on time! They took the love triangle thing too damn far! Thereâs nothing I hate more than complicated love triangles. No one in this film is a true friend as they couldnât abide by girl/boy code. Cause wdym we are friends, I liked a girl first and you cant back off? Or we are friends and im dating the guy you like so you choose to ruin my life? Nah. Then they had to pull that âmy daddy is sick so I have to leave you for yearsâ trope? Why? AlsoâŚtotally understand why he broke up with her cause he felt guilty for making her wait for him. We love a considerate king. And seojun just didnt give up!!! Like bruhhh!! READ THE ROOM! He made up for it at the end though as he pushed for them to get back together and FINALLY gave up. That was nice of him. Still dont know how fl didnt know he likes her as it was as clear as day! Honorable mention goes to flâs little brother cause he was too damn funny! Loved lim ju young so much. Such a goofy character. Also loved the romance between her sister and her teacher more than I thought I would . The OSTs in this drama were honestly so amazing. They were so good! Definitely has entered one of my favorites. The main leads had so much chemistry that had me kicking my feet in excitement. I hated three things; the insane love triangle, the time gap, and the unnecessary breakup (even if I understand why)True beauty is a classic kdrama that makes me realize how bad recent dramas are. They donât just make dramas like they use to fr. The reason I stopped dramas for a while in the past was because they weighed on me too much When I finished. Recent dramas dont make me feel that way. But this? Iâm so sad it ended. The beginning was so cringe but in the best Kdrama way. Loved eveything. The friendships, the humor, the sad aspects. Made me cry soooooo much. Also cried at the ending. This is definitely the last time Iâll be watching but it was definitely worth it. Team suho all the way.
finally got around to watching the highly rated when life gives you tangerines andâŚIve got a lot of things to say. Let me start by saying that âslice of lifeâ Kdramas are NOT My thing at allâŚi dont bond with them cause I donât really get the emotions like that. This was the first slice of life drama ive watched and Iâll say itâs the best..i think. Definitely the first and last Iâll ever watch cause itâs definitely not my trope at all. The plot wasâŚwas there even a plot? No! They just narrated decades and decades of a particular familyâs life and how they livedâŚ.i liked that it was really really realisticâŚthats good. The casting for this drama was PACKED! I knew 95% of the characters fr. Park Bo gum and IU deserve their flowers fr. This is my first time watching dramas with both of them and im highly impressed. With IU most especially. She had chemistry with the three men she acted with in this drama. I get why she wins awards for this film. The character yang gwan sik has got to be the BEST father and BEST husband in Kdrama history! He wasnât a green flagâŚhe was a fucking GREEN FOREST!! Literally held his family together fr. I loved their relationship with each of their childrenâŚi just liked they were they portrayed family in this. Honorable mention goes to the other captain and his sonâs father in lawâŚhe was my favorite character as it was only in his scenes I got to laugh. The way they portrayed old people was funny asf! You think by coloring their hair grey, theyâre automatically old? Nah. Youre telling me in 2025, IU is 52 and looks like IU??! How??! The first 10 episodes were BORING ASF! And then the last six episodes were interesting. Itâs normally the opposite but whatever. This drama didnt get me emotionally the way I thought it would. In scenes where I thought I would cry, I didnât. I wasnât even sad at all. As for the highly anticipated questions; is this the best drama of 2025? For me? No. But I get why people say it is cause itâs qualified to be. Just not my cup of tea. Is this better than lovely runner? Hell nah. Lovely runner has a special place in my heart. They shouldnât even be compared as they arenât in the same genre. Is this worth its ratings? To an extent, yes. I get why it is, but itâs not to me. Did it alter my mental health? Not at all. Iâm perfectly fine after watching itâŚand that isnât supposed to be the case as people said itâs so sad. Itâs sad, just not the worst Ktrauma Iâve seen. Someone had to die at some point for it to be realistic. Id even say it was a happy ending. Overall, it was wholesome, funny a-times, sad only at the end, and I guess it was worth it to an extent.
