Been there and done that!
I started this show only because of the female lead; I loved When I Fly Towards You and thought she was so cute, so I figured I’d give this one a chance. Honestly, I wasn’t feeling it from the very first episode. Social media edits made me force myself to sit through two more, until I finally had to put myself out of my misery! I don’t think the show was necessarily "bad," but it felt like something I’ve seen a million times before. Usually, a predictable plot isn't enough to make me drop a show, but pair that with a bad mood and it’s the perfect recipe for an immediate "no" from me.Was this review helpful to you?
Couldn’t find a reason to keep going!
I have a real knack for knowing when I won't enjoy something, and my "flair" was definitely going off on this one! The production felt cheap and the storyline was just mediocre. Honestly, I realized I was only forcing myself to watch this mess because I like Dilraba. The chemistry was also non-existent; the leads felt more like siblings than lovers. She actually had way more chemistry with the second male lead! I'm glad I finally stopped forcing it. 😬Was this review helpful to you?
Couldn’t even get past the first episode!
I wasn't even sure if I should review this since I technically only watched the first episode, but I trust my instincts. I have a real "flair" for dramas, I usually know immediately if I’m going to like something or not. In this case, I just knew it wasn't for me. The male lead did nothing for me, and even though I promised to check out all of Zhao Lusi’s projects because she usually picks great scripts, this one felt like a big miss!😩Was this review helpful to you?
Can’t do it!
I got lazy with this one. As soon as I saw the episode count, I realized I just didn't like the show enough to stick with it. I never thought Zhao Lusi and Liu Yuning looked good together, not even in The Long Ballad, so even the main couple couldn't save this drama for me.I am not forcing myself through 40 episodes.
Even though the costumes and production were overall okay, it felt a bit sloppy at times but maybe that’s just me! If a show is that long, it really needs to be high-quality to keep me interested till the end because then I start to see the flaws more clearly!
