This is not an action movie, its a lie. The only action you will see is an old man holding someones finger and slapping him, theres also a scene where an old man headbutts a random guy. If this movie is considered an action movie than every movie is an action movie.
Overated movie.in my book.I agree it might have been an excellent movie for the time it came out, but I dont feel it stands up to this day.
Super long 3h25mins watch it with vlc fastforward or with some redbull to stay awake or both.
Romance in this movie gets like a -5/10, its so bad and cheesy, desperate last minute 1950 asian awkard stuckup one night sex.
In terms of story, if you read the description you know it all. This is more a drama on how pitiful farmers lived during that time and some good samaritan ronins decide to help for no real reason except that they are good people.
Dont expect any good action from this, they had no special effects so instead of hitting people they faked by hitting next to them and people fall over. A lot of cowardly fight, absolutely no head-to-head/frontal fight just people running around until they fall from horses and die.

This show was good and had potential, but the ending episodes are pretty much a big disappointment. Se Won and Wang Wook characters just get treated like crap by the writers, Yeo won scenes are so small and pretty much all the same and her relationship with Wang So is almost non-existent. Wang Shik's end is so pathetic that it almost makes everyones effort to stop him look wasted. They focused too much on the 2 main leads love story and pretty much let everything else down.
Who is the chick in the picture b/c I know for sure that it is not kim so yeon.
Its her, if you google her name and look at images youll find more from where the picture came from, but I agree she was hard to recognize with such a close up pic. I submitted a more recognizable picture from the same photoshoot.
This drama wasn't has bad as I thought it would be after reading the reviews, there's a lot of things that could have been made different or better and it makes this drama lacking especially towards the end when you realize the main female lead for 40 episodes becomes a second lead and the romances switches but fails to get anywhere close to what it was. I still don't agree with all the 5 and under reviews, I enjoyed this drama overall and would recommend it over a lot of shows I've dropped in the past.
For anyone thinking about starting I Summon You Gold, I suggest you go read the 7 reviews of the show, it might save you from watching 50 episodes only to get pissed.
Meh, this had potential but it failed at getting me attached to the characters. They should have made the bad guy more likable, more understanding for the audience so that we can kind of feel something for him instead of your typical serial killer with no feelings. As for the girl, some kind of fighting background, solid constitution/doesn't feel physical pain, extremely violent when mad, etc to make her more believable and more of a challenge.
Terrible idea. They have 90% chance to make crap, 9% chance to make something decent and 1% to make it awesome. This is just ABC making a safe bet and trying to get lucky.
American remakes are bad because the main reason behind them is making money. So only put as much budget and time needed to make a certain amount of money out of the hype from the original. They have no intention of making quality work and if they did, they still have to go through all the culture difference. The American audience is very far from the Kdrama audience.
Pretty good drama, it was kinda addictive, I went through it really fast. Its up there with So Ji Sub's best dramas Sorry I love You and Master's Sun. I really enjoyed both the main actors performance and I liked the OST too. What I disliked mainly was that the show slowed down a lot around episodes 13 to 20, especially Han Ji Min's role which at this point stopped being useful in the plot, I wish they would have made her more involved. I also think the main bad guys were a little too passive and should have done more during those episodes, they went down really easily simply raging after each fail.
Personally, I think she could come back whenever she wants to do dramas/movies. It's probably more of a personnel choice because some people actually don't like working under harsh conditions and be treated like crap when trying to make a stand.
Great show overall, the acting was pretty good and I got attached to the 2 main actors. I'm sad they haven't done anything since this series ended. The bad points are the last few episodes felt a little stretched with some useless and repetitive scenes, I mean how many times do you need to try to escape/get captured/leave the country, I think the 2 episode extension from 16 to 18 episodes was not necessary. Also a big change of mood happened, from E1-12 the show is more of a Rom-Com then changes to more of a Melo-Rom for the next episodes, but in the end it came back a little to Rom-Com. But these bad points dont change the fact that this is one of my favorite series and im really hoping to see more from the 2 main actors.
Great show overall, the first half of the show is definitely better. The ending falls short like so many dramas, writers suck at writing ending or its on purpose I don't know, but it definitely lowers the bar, making it hard to give this series a 10. Even if you say they tried to stay true to the story, it's not a good enough excuse to give us a bad ending with no closure. For example if history says someone dies, you can write a fictional story where he fakes his death or survives and everyone else think hes dead to give the audience what they want and not some unwanted everyone dies cliche ending. Also they could have ended the show before everyone was dead instead of prolonging the show and giving us a rushed ending with some unexplained rebellion not linked to any part of the story.
Well, even though the idea of living in a train instead of a bunker or underground is stupid and that the ending is pretty bad, overall the movie was good.
Watched a few episodes of Running Man last year and it got me hooked, decided to download the 200 episodes I missed and I sprinted through them in 2-3 weeks, best choice I've made in a very long time.
