What I don't get is that if Eun Bi was going to end up with Yi Ahn in the end: 1) Why did Yi Ahn receive so little…
I really agree with what you said.
Yi An was so flat because we hardly know anything about him that would not relate to either the twins or swimming. And even swimming had so much to do with Eun Byul that it hardly counts. He seemingly derived all his motivation for swimming from her - and later Eun Bi. That's also why I was expecting this ending: Yi An really had nothing else he could do in order to get that good ending than to date one of the twins. Can't leave a main actor/character hanging like that.
I wonder what role L will exactly play. I mean it's obvious he'll be the 'Nic' but Korean dramas tend to be a bit too conservative to have a plot point like that. I suppose he could still be gay but having a boyfriend (more than a mere mention)? No way. I'll eat my hat if he does.
It rather seemed that people only took a look at the cast (Kim Soo Hyun and IU) and expected this to be another fluffy romcom. (To be fair, one of the teaser was light and bright like that, too.)
But this started out mockumentary with dry humour. People complained, show made changes: now it is just another romcom.
Personally I preferred the mockumentary. Now, after the first few episodes, it's still not bad but nothing special anymore.
Now I just hope for really good reason behind Eun Byul's behavior: it better be something really important and…
There was that bathroom scene right before disappearance plus what Eun Byul wrote about the person tormenting her turning off lights and closing doors and then disappearing without a trace... They kinda make me think that maybe she wasn't mentally that okay. I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled off a Schizophrenia plot or something.
And sure, Soo In's sister was sending messages and had those diary pages but I doubt she actually went aroung breaking into houses in order to turn off lights (nor that mystery man Eun Byul argued with).

Hey MDL editors, a drama beans article said that this drama is actually a 16 episode drama with the possibility…
There's definitely lot of confusion around... I looked into it briefly and even the Korean Wikipedia page says it's 16 episodes - but then begins listing a ratings table prepared for 20 episodes, ha.
But yes, news from April refer to it as having 20 episodes, while all the news about this extension talk about 16 episodes (with the extension to 18ep) - actually, some sites are quoting a statement from some SBS rep that says that the 'original 16 episodes' are getting extended. And the official page unhelpfully only has a starting date, nothing else.
Divorce Lawyer in Love (now on this time slot) is, despite its bad ratings, in consideration for a two episode extension. Now, considering the PD troubles this drama is having... I bet we all are thinking of the same thing.
This is interesting... They changed directors. Episode 1 - Directed by Yoon Sang Ho Episode 2 - Directed by Yoon…
That is indeed interesting. I know they're getting a bit of negative feedback but... that bad, huh?
Anyways, I like Pyo Min Soo's drama history way more than Yoon Sang Ho's. Although, last time I saw a YSH drama it was the Bride of the Century and I'm not seeing much resemblance here... But then again, Seo Soo Min should be in charge with YSH (now PMS) dealing with the drama filming side of things? I wonder how much will change.
For now, all of them look... ok. There's othing in these plots that would particularly stand out for me. Casting has both actors I like and dislike. No directors or writers that I'd have strong opinions about.
I'll try to watch the first episode of them all and decide then~
(Also, as a random note - Kim Bum is looking more and more like an Asian version of Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I can't be the only one seeing that, can I?)
Uh-oh, they lost Jo PD (IHYV, Gapdong) over some disagreements of interpreting the script (or so they say!) - it's a very last minute change.
I don't know the new PD nor his projects at all... It's a bit worrisome. I'm not overly familiar with Jo PD's works (although I loved IHYV) but generally his works seem to have been pretty down to earth; the original Taiwanese drama is not that far off of his works? I'm really curious of what kind of vision the company has of this drama.
Ohhh :D dae yeong and soo ji, realizing their feelings :D. i didnt watch the season 1 so im rooting them both,…
Heh, alright, what I wanted to say that she was the first one to fall in love (and she was not the only one~ Dae Yeong was popular.) Not that he had any idea - and ended up all jealous over nothing.
And yeah, they overcame a very rocky start which is why the unexplained break up irks me. :F

I'd totally love if Soo Kyung would appear although for different reasons - I'm just dying to know what happened to her!
I'm also thinking you'd enjoy season one a lot. Dae Yeong's role in that was... hm, well, he seemed happier? And the ending on that season was good too, although I don't know how I'd feel about if I had seen season 2 first. But I suppose I can't say more without spoiling anything, haha.
Romance is a big part - every woman has something going on in their love lives - but there isn't one major epic romance that would overthrow the others. It's all fairly well balanced with other non-romantic plot lines.

I think it's this one?

But indeed, new writers and seems they're aiming to stay true to the original series so all good now. (Hope so.) ^^
I might cry if they go with an idol or something. =_=

So most likely it should be 16 episodes.
Overall I'm enjoying this so far (but I'm totally expecting the Hong Sisters' weak plot points: unrealistic relationships and the ending)...
