You’ve put it so well. I think you’re right that many dramas give us idol-like generals to broaden appeal, even though in history they were more organizers and strategists. Personally, I don’t mind a bit of the ‘super fighter’ touch if the story is engaging, but I also appreciate when a show gives a realistic glimpse of command structure. Your Ming dynasty breakdown is really interesting
