I think that's how an actor should be. Nothing is exaggerated. Everything feels natural. Thumbs up for CY! He has done well. Kudos to other actors as well, especially the senior actors. Their acting & chemistry is top notch.

Some of the cases are touching. This drama tries to show you different angles, both defendants & plaintiffs' circumstances. Eventually, regardless of judges' own feelings, they have to judge based on the facts. The way the judges interact are very down-to-earth and fun though.

I always recommend not to watch the same genre continuously otherwise you may not get the best viewing experience. This is especially trye if you really liked the previous drama. You may end up comparing them. This drama is very good, but it's quite long at 59 episodes to allow for story & character buildups. The high no of episodes may or may not be to your liking. Maybe take a bit of a break or switch genre before watching L&R

Indeed. I am so glad he got to be part of dramas with good casts & good production team. As an actor, he needs to act in a good drama to shine further.

Yes, he's awesome! He should take on more of this type of modern drama. You can't see YY/TZ/XY in him at all. It suits him. Besides, I am a bit biased. Although I like CY in ancient costume, I don't like seeing him get hurt, wearing wig all the time. It's such a hard work. Maybe take costume drama every 2 years & act in multiple modern dramas every year.

Cheng Yi's acting skills have improved again. It's very apparent in his latest drama Draw The Line which's shot early this year. In the drama, sometimes CY didn't have any lines. The director relied on a wide shot to capture all actors in the scene. When other actors said their lines, CY stayed quiet but never stopped acting. His expressions are very natural & his actions supported the scenes. I am very happy to see his skills improve! Other fans agree with me, see they even prepare this video.

On a separate note, eventhough I like CY, I have to say that when I saw the the poster with the short hair, I thought, 'Hmm.. it doesn't suit him. Zhou Yi An is the least attractive role he's acted in'. How wrong I was! Photo can't talk. When CY acted as Zhou Yi An, he's full of expressions, his body language's not exaggerated. Director also took a full length shot in some scenes & we could see how tall he's. An an's extremely likeable & cute, top boyfriend material!

Jin Dong's Judge Fang is indispensable in this drama. His potrayal of Judge Fang is very wise, fun, down-to-earth. He also has a good understanding of human character. In ep2, he said "Whether it is inherently evil or good, human nature cannot stand the test." Wow!!! This is definitely something to think about & will create a lot of discussions.

His chemistry with other judges is very good & brings out laughter. I am glad this character's brought into life by him.

I read it took them 3 years to plan this drama. I see how much effort's put in. This could be a serious drama, but they put a spin on it and make it light, entertaining bit still educational. This is truly not an easy feat.
All actors are really good, but I want to talk about Cy as I am his fan. CY's small expressions are just to the point. Him as An An is just too cute, which's completely outside my expectation. I know FSQ is cute, but I didn't know I was going to meet him through An An.

Is there going to be a romance? I prefer no romance for this type of drama. If there's, I hope it's not over the top, ie too much focus on the romance which then ruins a perfectly good drama.

It's just started so only few people give ratings. I really like this type of drama though & it's very well shot. The story & acting is on point. Initially, some people think legal drama is going to be quite boring & serious, but it's not the case for this drama. They showcase the 'humane' side of the judges whilst mediating & solving the cases. Very easy to watch

So far so good... MTL subs, but luckily the drama is not too heavy, so it gives me time to digest. I still hope for a better sub, though. I always like this type of drama with experienced actors, varied cast who create different chemistry. Experienced actors' interactions are so natural, making the drama pleasant to watch. Hopefully CY learns a lot from them.
