Ik, but he still confessed bc he thought it was the love potion, kinda like a placebo effect. When he confesses later, it is without any influence. Plus at that point, to the audience, he confessed bc of the love potion. I try not to spoil the whole show with theses

I did not put that bc he says it on bc of the love potion, even tho it may not be real. But episode 9 is when he confesses with a clear mind
