Censorship is part of why I watch Korean drama. They generally give you a feel for what's about to happen in case you want to skip a scene, too. I found Japanese drama unpredictable in that sense or far more open. It's good that J-drama don't sugar-coat or blur cigarettes for example (is it just me who wonders about an actor's health when they smoke on-screen?) but at the same time, I want things left to the imagination. It is laughable, however, that K-drama would blur out a cigarette because the character is still smoking. If the aim is to discourage smoking, don't show such a scene at all. *Reading linked censorship article* Oh, and those blurred knives. Not guns, not swords, but knives.
I'm not interested in Thai dramas but if anything, this will be why I'll see one. I'm interested in the 1999 one now so thanks! This story doesn't really get old. I haven't seen the Korean version (not sure if I ever will) but I have fond memories of ISWAK. ^^
I'd be shocked, almost offended, if the characters didn't carry Samsung phones. Support local businesses. :) But yeah, I like finding out about Korean brands, etc. so I like PPL when they're not too obnoxious and when they're not Subway.
i actually like ah ro although she's always crying to the point it's annoying (and if you ask me, i…
I dislike her character but I agree with you. Her character helped Ji Dwi grow. She also knows how to hold her ground and endure all the drama talk from the Queen and her daughter.
Yes I wiped my eyes but I think Han Sung finally served a purpose in the drama so I'm okay with how things turned out. It's a historical after all; lives are lost. But getting Ah Ro involved in something similar shortly after? Eh...
First impression: Why is this drama rated so highly? The lead guy isn't cute.
After two episodes: This drama is slow and strange. Wonder if it'll pick up.
Somewhere past the midpoint: It's too cute!! Oh my heart - it's so touching!!
At the end: *Sigh* Great wrap up.
Verdict: Feels. So many feels. Cute and touching. Refreshing quirkiness. Might re-watch someday <3.
