I feel the same about SPL and MoDu I've loved both of them so much! Especially Sha Po Lang <3 and i'm quite terrified about how will drama adapt this unusual world and steam-powered machines... I'm just so worried about possible "great" CGI.... This drama won't have huge budget so... As much as MoDu will have an easy time changing from lovers to blossom friends theme, SPL is all about a romance of an adopted son and his "father" .... like how do they plan to make it into a bromance or soulmates? I do agree with your worries about cases in MD and I'm even more worried about FeiDu's past... like how will they get it past censorship... it's too violent both physically and mentally... You're so right if they tone it all down it'll be a mess... and ugly one... as everything connects there and everything is so gruesome ...

I've read Lord Seventh (which is a prequel to Faraway Wonderers) first and I couldn't love it more! Just sooo good and that's why i'm even more upset about some things. Like the incense that created fantasies wasn't invented or read in manuscripts etc. by AhXu but it was Shaman that created it in Lord Seventh. Same with the cure and all this conversation about abolishing Ah Xu martial arts it was all Shaman who did it and it's such an important thing that it just annoys me to no end that they changed it ! Ye Bai Yi did tell Zhou Zi Shu that he is dying but he said its too late and he has no cure! And that's just the tip of the iceberg .... in book there's no Prince Jin... wtf... he is long an emperor and he has NO literally NO existence in the story except for the very beginning when Zhou Xu decides to leave ... After that all his past except for the nails in his chest don't show in the story!!! NOTHING! They rewrote whole book into a totally different story ... and they made a mess of it... Wen KeXing didn't behave lake a crazy dog with rabies possessed with a crazy dive for revenge... he did do it but it was a trap he setup up and he let everyone fall into it... no crazy arguments with AhXu and pushing the buttons in the back... what the hell is this about him spreading fake parts ??? O_O And when did Liu Qian Qiao become one of his ghosts???
There are thou 3 big pros to this show : Gu Xiang Cao Wei Ning Zhang Cheng Ling They are sooooo adorable!!! I love them all to no end!!!
Is there anyone that've read the novel here?? I finished the novel (I'm quite a big fan of Priest works) and then I've picked up this drama... Probably it's an unpopular opinion but i'm quite disappointed .... I'm on ep 16 and as i struggle to make sense with what they did to this great book I just get more and more confused ... sigh... They sooooo overcomplicated everything... They changed characters roles from what they did or didn't do in a book... its all so messy... When I figured out that Lord Seventh and Shaman don't exist in this novel i almost flipped my macbook! I keep waiting for things to happen but they don't... or they're all changed o_O ... Sory for the rant ... don't hate me its just my personal opinion... curious if anyone that've read Faraway Wanderers feels the same as me ... I still have some hope (as i quite like Simon Gong portray of Wen KeXing) and I'll try to finish this series... but i keep forwarding as this cultivators keep bullshitting af... sigh...
I really want to watch it so badly... but I'm currently reading the novel and I'm waiting for all the chapters to be translated... sigh I'll just clench my teeth and wait TT-TT i don't want to spoil the novel for myself since it's sooooo good!!!!
The story isn't bad, but the movie is very flat and boring, tbh i almost dropped it. ANyWAy, they kissed a lOoT.

I just pray it’s this way... it took them so long and so much effort form GSD to build up this relationship... we barely had 1 happy episode and then series 1 ended. I hope we won’t have 5 episodes of ZSY and GSZ fighting and figuring out why they couldn’t be together for the past 5 years, fighting the father and then they’ll give us one, last episode full of love and fluff... I hope we’ll have a series about the development of their relationship with problems that’ll happen in between that they’ll learn how to work together to overcome.
Who can tell me how can he even be a guest in a show that aired in 1964??? Mickey wasn’t even born yet at that time...And he was already performing in 1986.... the year he just came to this world …
